Pioneer SX-737 AM/FM Stereo Receiver thoroughly tested. The only functional flaw I could find is that the Phono input has static. This will only effect those who want to attach a turntable to this unit. From my experience. It's usually one or two small capacitors that need replacement in the phono input circuit causing this common problem. Everything else works as it should. The tuner pulls in a strong stereo signal using a thin indoor wire antenna, both left and right channels have equal, clean output. All controls, indicators, switches, meters, lamps work as they should. As far as cosmetics there are some thin scratches on the top of the face plate bezel, and a few small nicks here and there. Untitled Very rare Tandberg TR-3030 audio receiver. This Tandberg receiver is in perfect working order and has received proper care in servicing. The illumination has been fitted with new pilot lights. All receiver boards(PCBs) have been re-soldered. In key places capacitors were replaced. All potentiometers have been taken apart and cleaned(not just a quick contact spray job) And lastly. New speaker terminals have been fitted. Instead of the spring-loaded flimsy clips, it now boasts screw terminals which also accept banana/WBT plugs. The AM/FM sections also pulls in the stations and FM also operates in stereo. Optically this unit is in extremely good condition; the front is near mint. The hinges are mint too. Luckily none of the black front panel etching has been eroded by acidious fingers. As to the sound. I can only subjectively state ... morethat it is in line with its large brethren from the house of Tandberg: fast paced and detailed. This is a really nice receiver that works well and looks good. The selector rotator knob and stem was broken off when I bought it so I found a good match for it and epoxied it on with a makeshift stem. The remote will select for you even if my rigged selector switch gives it up. You wouldn't be able to tell it's been broken unless you know this receiver well or had a new one to match it up with. Also. You should know that I think the fellow I bought this from gave me the wrong remote. It's a Sony remote and it works to turn the receiver on and off but it's silver, not black like the receiver. Still a really nice receiver with good clean sound in all channels and lots of features.
