Welcome! In excellent working condition. This is a NAD 7225PE Power Envelope Stereo Receiver/ Amplifier. This is the perfect-sized little, but powerful audiophile-grade receiver for so many different uses. Cosmetically the unit does have a couple of issues. There is some light surface scratches and other minor blemishes on the top, but the enamel of the unit is perfectly stable and there's absolutely no rust, dings, or dents. There is also some leftover adhesive residue or something just to the right of the"NAD" emblem on the front faceplate, maybe where someone previously had a nameplate or something. This radio was ahead of its time and used a membrane cover on the front panel that covered the push button selections. This unit has many hairline cracks on this membrane but does not affect the controls and they all work. We've seen other examples over the years that have major issues in this area. The bands that are covered are: LONG WAVE. AM, FM, and SHORTWAVE from 1.8 MHz to 30 mhz. The radio has 9 memories and receives Single Side Band(SSB) through a BFO control. All controls and functions work well except when you change from band type such as AM FM or SW the frequency changes ... moreto the beginning of the band. This also happens when the radio is turned off. It works fine when you stay in the same band type and you can select a frequency multiple ways. Any memories that were saved are retained. The radio reception and sound is excellent. The radio works with 6"D" cell batteries(not included) The main battery compartment is clean and the telescopic antenna is straight.
