This was found in a salt mine years ago in upstate NY by my father in law. The battery is lead and electrolyte construction and has been refilled with distilled water and recharged according to the Koehler Manuel. The light is bright and the lens is free of scratches. The light beam is adjustable much like a Maglite. The charger requires 24 hrs to fully charge. This is a super durable dependable light that would be well suited for coon hunting. Vintage Koehler Light System ( Wheat Charger & Battery & Light Set ) Model 1100
Here up for auction is a vintage Koehler wheat charger. Battery and light. It works as you can see in the pictures. I guess it was a miner set. It made it's way out here to our Great Smokey Mountains and I think it was used up here in the caves. I came across it and like in the pictures it works but needs cleaning at all the connections. I plugged it in the wall and after a while it charged the battery, then I unhooked it from the charger and now after an hour and a half it still shows the light as bright as it should be but as soon as I turn it off it needs to be charged some more. Some times it comes right back on also though. I think it's in the connections. It will charge up and run for at least a couple hours. It's just old and like I said probley needs some cleaning at the battery terminals. It's a super cool piece from ... morethe past and would love to hear the stories it could tell of all it's adventures.

There is a switch on one side side and a focus knob on the other side which moves the light bulb forward and backward to concentrate the beam of light. The battery is a 4 volt rechargeable.
