For auction is this vintage Avedon set of men's cuff links and tie tac. They are vermeil. At least 10K gold plate over sterling silver by definition of vermeil and regulation of that designation. The links measure 1 inch by 1/2 inch, the tie tac is 1/2 in by 3/8 inch. They have a criss cross brushed finish with an intricate monogrammed S on each. The back of the tie tac has AVEDON VERMEIL with the logo, an A in a circle. The links say VERMEIL with the logo. The total weight(without the tie tac back) is 11.3g These pieces are very nice. These are very unusual pierced earrings and it is the first time that I have run across this design. The earrings are hinged in the middle and the front part of the earrings are diamond cut and the back sides are smooth. The post is attached to the front side and it has a notch at its end which engages a cut out in the back of the earrings when closed. To open the earrings one just pushes up on the post where it engages the back and it releases. To wear the earring one just closes them and the post engages the cutout in the back. Vintage 14K Gold 1 Inch Heart Butterfly Etched Locket 7.3 Grams Nice not Scrap
Th is is a 14k gold heart sha ped locket. It i s hallmarked 14kt with a makers mark of M A inside what looks like a mushroom. Not a mak ers mark that I a m familiar with so I can't say who the designer is. The locket is 1 inch long and 1 in ch across. It opens easily and closes as it should. It has a 5mm bal e so it will be able to han g on a variety of chain si zes. Th e front is done with matte and polished gold with a butterfly etched in the gold. The back is polished. There are some light surface scrat ches on the back and on the inside. The plastic that cover s the photos is missing. Nice size locket for pictures with a w eight of 7.3 grams. Othe r tha n the light scratches it is in very nice condition.
