Vintage 1940's Model Of The Human Ear Anatomical Model With Original Wood Base Vintage American Hand-Painted Cast Plaster Ear. Vintage Human Ear consist of 5 parts. The base and four other pieces. 1940 D.G. Co. is engraved under the ear of the model(please see pictures) The instructional model is a detailed depiction of the human organ of hearing and balance. With a detailed sagittal section along the length of the auditory canal and eustachian tube. The Model Ear contains several hand applied black enameled numbers corresponding to various regions and or structures. The Model sits on its original varnished birch wood base. For auction is one set of three vintage anatomical fetus models in various stages of development. They are mounted to metal stands in a covered plywood box with an aluminum handle. Overall dimensions of the box are 19" long. 8" deep and 13" tall. The box is in very good overall condition, though there are some chipped areas in the ply. They are labeled Y14DS Group 2. The fetus models are in excellent condition with little to no wear. And the plastic fetuses are removable. This is from the 1960's from a MD friend of mine. They were given as perks by drug salesmen and generally had advertising on them. This item does not& there is not indication that advertising has been removed. The back of the foot has a place for a prescription pad. I this case the drug company would have put rx pads with the name of the drug they were pushing at the time. This is in good condition the photos show that. It has a classic look to it and there are no chips or cracks.

As you can see in this photos, this model is clean and shows very little vintage wear. There are no parts missing, no dings, chips or issues with the swivel, etc. The Denoyer-Geppert sticker has a portion torn off, see pic. There is no documentation or reference sheet included. This vintage piece does have some creasing and some shaggy edges on the right side. Otherwise for its age its beautiful. Vintage mid-century medical promo model by Merck. The eye is dated 1963, not sure if the base is from 1963 or not but the drug names on it may provide a clue. 8" H, base is 5" W, removable eye is 4 5/8" in diameter. The model is plastic and in good condition with a few scuffs and minor spots. The pieces in the interior of the eye are removable and fit together loosely but hold firm. This is: 1968 Grasshopper Anatomical Model- This model was made in 1968 by Richard Rush Studios Richard Rush Studios. A defunct local custom art studio, as a preliminary scale model prior to the making of a 14 foot grasshopper model for the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. Model is displayed on a wooden base with an acrylic case. Case is original but has some cracks. Case measures 44 inches x 24 inches x 19 inches high. Vintage Frog Dissection Model Bobbit VERY HARD TO FIND! Anatomy Anatomical
Listed is a very unique anatomical model depicting a partially dissected frog. This was purchased as surplus from a large public school district and had been in their storage warehouse for a very long time. It has a painted wood base and the frog itself is contructed from some type of plastic that has been hand painted and stitched over a form. I'm not sure of the age of this piece. But my best guess would be the 1960's-1970's. This is currently located on the wall of my office. But it has 4 rubber feet so you can also display it on a coffee table, bookshelf or desk. A very, very hard to find piece that would make a great conversation starter! The base board is 21" long by 16" wide and about 3/4" thick. The frog itself is 20" long and sticks out 3 1/2" from the base. This frog does have some small flaws ... morefrom decades of use in a public school. Up for auction is a neat vintage mid 20th century optometrist's model of the human eye by Merck. Giant sized eyeball opens up to display the inner workings. Including a removable lens. This anatomical chart is gorgeous! Made circa the 1940s this chart shows in exquisite detail the bones. Musculature, nervous system and organs of the human body. Each section pulls out to reveal a deeper"layer" of the body. There are some minor condition issues- see photos for areas of creasing at the top and side. Also the front piece was originally attached but is now separate. However given the age and fragile material this is made of it has stayed in remarkably great shape over the years. Amazing piece for any medical student or anyone with an interest in anatomy!
