This is a classic Lafayette Tube tester Model TE-15. It includes the instruction booklet. Tube chart and its vinyl plastic carrying case. The checker lights up as shown in photo attached. It has two issues, one is a crack on the meter lens but no piece is missing. It also has half the alligator clamp missing from the tube top connector, easy to replace with standard clamp. Both of these issues are shown clearly in the attached photos. Item looks great appearance wise and has both manuals tucked away in the drawer at the bottom. Very Nice Knight Allied "400" Tube Tester Works Fine
This is a nice example of the Knight 400 Tube Tester. It includes the tube chart which is hidden inside the body of the tester. I tested several 12AX7 tubes and one 6SN7 and the tube tester works fine! Meter moves nice and freely. Filament and load knobs work nicely. The metal cabinet looks like new except for some spotty rust on the lower corner as shown in the last picture.

Here is a nice early B&K Dyna Quik model 500 in good condition. This unit has been tested with a couple of tubes that were tested on a calibrated tester my friend owns and the tubes tested within 5% of his. The previous owner said he used this to test all his tubes and it worked very well. This tester has a 83 rectifier tube in it. And has a slight hum when powered up but everything seems to work as it should, it also comes with a 1B3GT adapter and the tube chart booklet plus there is a page on the back of the cover. I am also going to sell another B&K model 606 in another auction, check that one out. The case is in good condition with some worn spots and the latch has some rust. These were his personal testers and were in working order when they moved here to Florida in the late 1950's and they have been sitting in her garage ever since then. I bought this tube tester used as a young ham decades ago. I used it lightly over the years to test vacuum tubes for transmitters. Receivers and amplifiers. All this time it was stored on a shelf under my bench in a dry non-smoking environment. I recently powered it up to test a set of old tubes prior to sale. You'll see one of these in the photo. This is TUNG-SOL Model 78 tube tester by Seco Electronics, Inc. Seco Manufacturing Company) of Minneapolis, Minnesota U.S.A. The serial number is 5051. It is a small portable unit measuring approximately 10 1/2 x 9 x 5 inches, housed in a hinged wood box with what appears to be a plastic covering, metal hinges and latch, and a plastic handle. There are 4 metal feet on the bottom. The case has two compartments. On the right side is the electronics chassis with tube sockets, switches, pots, plate ... morecap, and meter. It tests filament continuity, shorts and merit. This side also contains a compartment to store the standard 110 VAC line cord. The other side contains the operating instructions and a set of tube setup data cards that define the proper settings of the instrument for each model tube. I have tested a lot of different electron tubes on it. I have not used all the different docks/ ports on the unit but most. All the buttons. Switches& knobs work exactly as they should. This is a nice clean unit and it comes with a photo copy MANUAL and 30+ pages of EXTRA TUBE DATA WITH INSTRUCTIONS on how to test them for the Jackson 715. RD Instruments 1575 tube tester manufactured by Hickok
Until about a week ago this was a working tube tester. After attempting to test a 6146. It ceased to function. It now displays"shorts" in all of the short positions. I checked the rectifiers on my other RD Instruments tube tester and they both checked good. Incidentally, I also checked that 6146 on my other RD Instruments tester and it checked good as well and is now being used in a Heathkit SB-101 and it is working fine. I don't know what happened, but I suspect a shorted cap so you may be getting a real bargain. Since I have the other RD tester and am not really into fixing test equipment, this one is up for sale. Everything worked fine prior to the"incident" All switches and pots and meters worked like they were suppose to work. I have not a clue as to why the wrong roll chart was installed or why the lifts are ... moremissing. Obviously this is being sold as-is for parts or repair. But this was a popular instrument and documentation should be found on the internet. This is the B&K Model 420 Cathode tube tester and rejuvinator. It's a portable and self contained unit that operates off 120 volt household. It contains a wiring harness to attach any of the 4 adapters. It has an analog meter with good/bad range indicated. A heater function, leakage, emission, remove shorts, DYN lo, DYN hi, along with lamp indicators on the panel. I believe this was a fairly expensive unit when new and was commonly used by TV repairmen, but it could also be used on older computer hardware and monitors. TV-7D/U Tube Tester- Working: Custom Case
This is a functional TV-7D/U Tube Tester with manuals. When I bought this. The case was missing so I made a custom vented case. I recognize that to a collector this is incomplete but it is still a great unit. I used this for several years while I was repairing guitar amplifiers and never had any issues with it. It has been in storage for about 7 years and I haven't retested it. While taking the pictures, I noticed that the rubber on the cord is cracking so that should be replaced. Otherwise, there isn't any other deterioration.

This is the roll chart assembly for Precision tube testers models: 10-12 10-15 10-20 10-22 10-54 Part number is RM-10 Form MRC-H2G) Probably the chart version) This is the"High speed" version It rolls from one end to the other without any problems. The paper isn't torn or damaged. As you can see in the pictures someone in the past has made a correction on the data for one tube. I am not aware if the correction is acurate. B K 747 tube tester, calibrated and ready to go!
Here is a nice BK 747 tube tester I have been using for about a year now. I rebuilt the inside with all new capacitors. installed the light bulbs in the circuit and calibrated against the 100,000 ohm load to ensure best sensitivity. It tests well and will give a great general idea of tube condition and will test a touch low overall so if it indicates good you are assured the tube is good! I have had a very high end tester made for me and if you really test a lot of tubes. One brand I can recommend is Hickok. This is not that level of tester but then again it is not the price either! This is a good tester that will give you good results. If you want to match tubes this is really not best suited for that. If you need to know good from bad tubes this is excellent! This tester has served me well but I desired a higher level of sensitivity and ... moreso I am selling old faithful here and I hope you win it! Please note the second picture shows the hinge degrading as I stated and you may be able to replace this with a piano hinge or similar.

Weston Model 774-4 Vacuum Tube Tester I have not spent a lot of time with this tester. It seems that in the past at some point someone has removed the battery/resistor test section. I like to offer complete units so this one is sold for parts or restoration. This tester DOES FUNCTION for the tube testing section. It's a great piece of history! Can use a little time in cleaning the faceplate. All switches and line set pot has been cleaned. It's neat to see this old machine fire up! If you have tubes you want to test please look up the tube chart online to see if this will test the desired tubes. All tube info is found online. BAMA is a good source. Technical info: I ship with INTERNAL protective material for the transformer/tubes during shipment. This MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE PUTTING INTO SERVICE! SIMPSON TUBE CHECKER/ TESTER From one of the best known manufacturers of electronic equipment in the U.S. And have been for many years. The model 555 is probably from the late 1930's which is phenomenal given the pristine condition. It was styled in art deco which would make it a good piece for a prop house although technically it is fully functional and could find a place on the bench of any tech working on vintage equipment. Includes two expansion sockets for addition of tube bases for tubes developed after this machine's manufacture. This checker has been well taken care of. Cosmetically it is probably an 8 or 9 out of 10. The case is fully intact although it has some predictable scuffs and abrasions typical of something 60+ years old. Vintage Hickok tube tester 15560-L1 Mutual cond. tester made for Western Elect.
This tube tester is a Hickok model 15560-L1 mutual conductance tester made for Western Electric for testing audio and other tubes made by Western Electric in addition to many other tubes. It is in good shape and test results compared favorably to those on another Hickok tester. All meters and switches work. The shorts indicating lights work as they should. The two rectifier tubes are good. A good quality reprint of the operating manual is included. Two or three capacitors were replaced and missing or damaged rubber feet were replaced. A small damaged part of the tube chart had to be cut out and the chart glued back together. This part was photocopied and is included. The roll chart works smoothly. The case has several scuffed and rough places. But it has done it’s job well and has protected the tester from any corrosion or other damage. The ... moretester does not show any signs of wear or scratches. It is very clean underneath. The set weighs about 30 lbs. Serial number is 769. Included are the operating manual. Two pin straighteners, grid and plate cap connecting wires, an adaptor for testing old fashioned short pin tubes, and a photocopy of all of the data on the roll chart as a backup to the roll chart.
