It powers up just fine and the line set works as it should but I would guess that it is in need of a calibration, the nice thing about that is that it has the 3 books so you could probably do it yourself. It does not have the roll chart with it but those are a pain to use anyway(has the tube date book with much more tubes in it than the roll chart did) This is a very high end Heathkit tube tester for tube radios and would make an excellent addition to any collection, it would also make a very nice gift idea as well. Vtg HICKOK 209A VTVM Vacuum Tube Voltmeter Capacitor Tester METER Capacitance
Up for auction is a vintage Hickok model 209A VTVM and with 7 capacitance ranges. In“for restoration” condition. It powers up, both the center zero and‘end’ zero functions work fine, measures 9 volts DC as 11 volts on all DC volt ranges, and Ohms also works but inaccurate readings- so this Hickok needs some attention, but is a great start to a restoration project. Very large meter, the glass window itself is 6” X 8” and meter needle moves smoothly and evenly throughout entire range. Physically in what I would call VG condition, all knobs original and fine, front panel VG too but has a few paint drips, and some paint flaking off of metal meter frame. Cabinet with no dents. Antique PHILCO 421 TUBE TESTER Very Early 2-Digit Radio TEST METER Vtg DATA BOOK
Up for auction is a very early Philco model 421 tube tester with operating instructions/ data book and carrying case with leather handle. Tests only the very early 2-digit and octal radio tubes. There are sockets for 4-pin thru 7-pin and octal types, and no test sockets for 7- or 9-pin miniature tubes. In working condition, powers up and the Line Adjust meter(to the left of main meter) works and lights up fine, internal tube lights up fine, but note that I have not tested further as I didn’t want to have powered up for long as all circuit components are original– capacitors, dogbone resistors, etc. Was a high end tube tester in its day, with 3 transformers and lots of components inside. Up for auction is a Hickok radio test set. The model on the unit itself is TS-997A/U. The model number on the case and manuals is AN/URM-113(or 113A) I am guessing that the TS-997A/U and AN/URM-113 are identical.Because the illustrations in the 113 manuals are identical the the 997A/U. I am not sure which radio set this unit worked with. The manuals are dated 1959. So I am assuming it is used with a particular military radio set that was common in that era. I have not attempted to power the unit. And it is being sold as-is. The unit is in very nice physical shape, with the exception being the hinges which show rust. Thanks for looking. Up for auction is a Century Model FC-2 Vacuum Tube Tester with the original manual/ tube data chart booklet. Awesome estate sale find. This tester appears to be in good working condition- it powers up but I have not tested any tubes with it(do not possess any) As the photos show. The unit powers up and the face of the tester is clean with clear lettering and original knobs. The original manual includes the tube data charts. The oak case is still in good condition as well with a nice patina, the handle is in good condition and the latches and hinges all work. Heathkit TC-1 Vintage Tube Tester w/ Carry Case
This may be Heathkit's first tube tester. And a fair amount of thought was included with the design. An additional hole is provided for future socket addition, and it checks for emission, short, opens and fil continuity. It is also provided with quality components for the time. A 6SN7 test is shown in one pic. However the short lamp is generally on too. This may or may not be normal, the manual isn't arranged to address dumb questions- like mine. Roll chart is the requisite 1-1-66. An update booklet to 1-1-69 is included. Chart works freely, a tad tight near the end. The tester has turned off twice(line adjust reading went to zero) momentarily then returned to normal, no attempt to determine cause. Wiring is neat and clean, some of the sockets are not oriented as the manual shows but the pins are wired neatly and correctly. Meter ... moreface is clear, has one short tight age crack at the zero adjustment. Switches and controls were cleaned. Original owner(and seller) had inserted the TC-1 into a carry case padded to provide proper fit. This has protected the unit from the effects of long-term exposure reasonably well. Up for Auction ONE Hickok Roll Chart For models 532-533-534& 534A Tube testers. Will also fit some other later models but lack some of the data. This auction is for the roll chart only and not the tube tester underneath it. The pictures do not show the entire chart but only a few areas from start to finish. Date: 4-1-1948 Condition is very good. There are no brittle or rotted areas on the paper and seems strong. There is some light yellowing in a few various areas. I will ship this in a 10x10x4" box and not in any sort of flat cardboard envelope for better protection. I was going to treat it with"Map Life" paper preservative but decided not to and leave it original. I would suggest you apply this or similar preservative when you receive it.

This Hickok 800 Mutual Conductance checker is in great working condition. R ecent calibration done per mfg. specs, calibration data/ settings sheet i s included. Line cord has been professionally replace d with modern 3 prong cord for safety- front panel is now always grounded- but o riginal line cord will be included in sale. Photos show various tubes being checked. Includ ing a 6L6. A 12AT7, and an 811. Checks for shorts and leakage. Also checks diodes and discrete transistors. Missing only the red plate cap lea d. The black lead can be used for tubes with plate caps. For tubes with both grid and plate caps an additional lead will be needed; you can make one or they are available on eBay. This vintage tube tester is in great cond. It is a Model 700 made by Precision Apparatus Co. Brooklyn NY USA. All knobs and dials and roller work smoothly. I have powered this tester up and it does power up. The needle on the gauge moves. It is not broken or stuck. The wooden box has dovetail corners and is in great cond. Box has a Sylvania decal.Handle hinges and closures are all great. It has a leather handle. The power cord has hardened and the outer coating is cracking off however it does work.This is a really nice tube tester in a really nice box. As with all electrical items I sell I cannot guarantee it works only that it does power up. There is an instructional booklet and it says Operating Instructions for Series 700. Vintage Precision Series 910 Electron Tube Tester
Series 910 vintage tube tester made by Precision Apparatus Company(Paco) Tube roll dates it from 1952. No owners manual. Metal case as shown in pictures. No outer wooden case or lid. Tested a couple of tubes to check its working condition. Tube tester is working. However, unable to verify the readings as do not have another tube tester to compare. Tests vintage tubes 4, 5, 7 pins, octal, loctal and miniature 9 pin tubes. The metal plate shows signs of age- please look at all enlarged pictures to see what the winner will receive. The magic eye tube has a really nice green glow that you will want to leave on even when you're not using it. I love the look.
