The Canadian Ross model 1905/10 bayonet was used with the Ross Rifle for training the US troops during WW1. These are extremly scarce.There was only 10,000 ordered by the US for training. There are different opinions as to the actual year of manufacturing,some claim it was 1908 only. The stamping on the pommel of this one supports this theory,it is stamped.patened 1907.Ross Rifle.Quebec. The wood grip is embossed with the proper identification.US.with the Ordance Bomb. We are not sure if the tip has been modified or not never seeing one out side of Janzens book on bayonets.No matter what this is quite a collectable piece of history from WW1.
