Beautiful - Original - unmolested and working! TV7 D/U TUBE TESTER & S.Manual
Being offered here is my TV-7 U/D Tube Tester with service manual in original working condition. Way above average in condition. It even smells like new inside. It's got all the probes and extras and is complete. It's been in my position for years and was the best of 3 that I once had. It's been in storage since 2003 when I got divorced. I've decided that I'm not doing any more repair work on such a major scale so it's time for it to go. I plugged it in and grabbed a tube at random from my"good" bin and checked it out and it worked perfectly. Since it's an antique in itself I'm selling it as-is, without warranty, but confidence is high on this unit. I hate to see it go, but someone will really appreciate this one I'm sure!

Hi.When I saw this item I flashed back to Don McClean's"American Pie" Classic.and the following lyrics: I can still remember how that music used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while. And it"made me smile" as I reflected on something called a Mobil Oil Fotoscope. This 50s/60s vintage meter was used to assess the condition of an Engine's Oil. Evidently you would draw a sample of an Engines oil.and put some on a little"window" on the top of the unit.and shine a light through it.and the meter would register a value on the meterscolor-coded scale.ranging from Red(oil was due a change) Yellow(oil was getting close to requiring a change) to Green which would indicate the oil was OK. This test was evidently used in lieu of ... moretodays technique of just changing the oil every so many thousand miles.thus saving time and money. My"smile" was reinforced because it brought back memories of my first job with the U.S. Air Force. I was trained to be a(guessing at the spelling) Spectrometic Oil Analysis Program(SOAP) Technician" Back in the 1960s the USAF had many Turboprop Engined planes.and it was both labor intensive and costly to change the multi-Engined Aircrafts oil.so a sample of an Engines Oil was periodically tested with SOAP techniques to ascertain whether a change of oil was necessary(dirty. Scorched, etc. I'm pretty sure this Mobil Fotoscope was designed to do similar things for autos and trucks. The meter is used.but other than some damage to the translucent shield over the scale.seems to be in pretty good condition. I don't have a manual.so don't know how to run it.OR even if it works.but I have googled several times.and checked various Mobil Oil Collector sites.and to date I have not found anything about the Fotoscope.so if it isn't a"one-of-a-kind"I'm still pretty sure there aren't many of them. 1940's Gottlieb Strength Tester, Deluxe Grip Scale, Trade Stimulator
This is a 1940's grip tester made by Gottlieb. This is a beautiful looking& working machine. It is a 3 way strength tester. It was actually the deluxe model back then. Tests your grip as well as push and pull strength. This is a penny machine. I had the machine bead blasted down and it was then re-painted and new decals applied throughout. Most of the rings on the front that held the glass in didn't survive as they were pot metal. I had a stainless steel ring machined to fit and had new glass cut. I also had a coin box made. The only thing I did not do is have the handles re-chromed. One key included.

Featured in this auction is an 18th Century RARE Revolutionary War American Powder Tester circa 1760. It is in good condition and has a rich dark brown uncleaned patina. With pitting as seen in the photographs. It measures 3 3/8 inches high, 1 1/2 inches wide at the base and 1 3/8 inches wide at the mouth. The bore measures 7/8 inch. The fuse hole is 7/8 inch from the bottom or breach. The barrel is approx. 2 5/8 inches deep. These were crudely blacksmith made to perform a simple task. Testing the powder supply. Very important business before a battle. Similar Powder Testers can be seen in George C. Neumann and Frank Kravic's book, Collector's Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution.
