And the seller on eBay told me it was completely refurbished, calibrated and verified. I received it, it is immaculate. I cannot either figure how to use it, or it is in need of further calibration. I cannot get the tester to move past about 1/4 of the meter. Perhaps something is loose from previous transit, or I don't know what I am doing(which can be the case) Please look at all the pictures. Up for sale is a later model emission tube tester that includes sockets and test data for Compactron. Novar and most other recent vacuum tubes. This tester can test many audio and transmitter(sweep) tubes. Comes complete with an assembly manual, schematic and two test data charts. Also included is an"as-built" schematic which is a little different from the one included in the assembly manual. The tester is in good to very good condition(see pictures) and works as designed. All sockets. Controls and transformer voltages have been tested, and the line setting has been calibrated. The CTI TC-20 is designed just like the Heathkit IT-17& IT-21 series of tube testers, and the test data charts are interchangeable between them. The TC-20 has the following sockets: Octal Loctal Miniature 7& 9 pin(the 9 pin socket is actually a 9+1 ... moreB10G type that can accept 10-pin tubes such as the 6C9) Nuvistor Novar(9-pin Compactron type) Compactron(12 pin) Most tubes with the above socket types can be tested with this unit. To test other tubes. You would need a socket adapter. Please let me know if you have specific tubes you need to test and I'll let you know if they're in the test charts. The meter has some marks as shown in the pictures. But is easy to read. The case and hardware are in good shape with only minor marks and nicks. Up for sale is a B&K Model 700 Mutual Conductance tube tester. It is in great shape considering its age. I tested a tube that I had that was new in the box. It showed the tube as Good. See the pictures for more details. It lights up and tests the sample tube OK. I did not try each function so I am selling it as is. It has signs of its age but seems to work. There is a calibration sticker on it but I can not make out the date. See picture. Calibration date looks like 1087 or 1097 but I cannot be sure. This tester has had the chassis reconditioned with new 6C4 very strong tube. New electrolytic and coupling capacitors, controls cleaned/lubed/adjusted. Sencore MU 140 Tube Tester works well in VG-EX condition
This Sencore tube tester is in pretty good shape and is fully functional. Everything works and the tester seems to be accurate. Even though I have not calibrated it. Cosmetically the tester is in Very Good shape. The case is in excellent shape with some marks. The most serious flaw is that the previous owner tried to clean the faceplate with an abrasive cleaner and managed to wipe off some numerals from one of the center setting dials(see photos) I don't see this a problem as there were only three or four figures erased-any user can figure what the settings are without the numbers. You can see from the photos a small demonstration of the Sencore running a test on both a bad tube and a NOS tube. Included with the Sencore is the manual and the tube settings book. The coax connection reads 49 on the digital ohm test meters 200 scale. Supplement to original listing. I cancelled this and have relisted to now include the oil that was originally in it. I did save all that oil that was in it in a separate can. It’s a light weight goldish tint oil. I was told it is hard to come by so it is now figured into the shipping in a separate gallon can along with the empty Cantenna unit. If you don’t want the oil. Cosmetically this piece of test equipment looks brand new and is in very good condition. The only sign of age is the paper on the inside lid showing various transistors that has some light age yellowing. The meter. Switches and knobs are in very good condition and test leads look new as well. I replaced the single D-Cell battery(new battery included) in the unit and performed the step-by-step calibration procedure I found on the Internet and it is calibrated and appears to be in good working order. The proper calibration resistor is included and attached to the battery clip. Here is a used vintage Hickok Model# 752 tube tester. Manufactured by The Hickok Electrical Instrument Company. Originaly purchased in 1959. Purchase includes an additional used paper tube sheet reel. Has a custom black hinged case with rear storage compartment. Front handle, and 2-latches on front; has metal protective pieces on all corners. Approximate measurements of the case: 18-1/2" x 17" x 7-1/4" some dings, but for the age, pretty good condition. Approximate weight is about 22 pounds Designed to be used using 115-Volts AC at 50-60 Hz. Serial number under the handle reads: 241 10138 Included with the tester are a couple of small adapter cables. I'm not sure what these are used for. The instruction manual is not included. Offered is an as found vintage tube tester. I plugged it in and the needle moves and the device lights up. I have no way of knowing if it will test tubes or not. The dove tailed box shows wear and the handle has been replaced with wire. The roller for the paper turns but there are tears to the paper on the left side. Also there are some missing knobs. Comes with some instruction papers. Also there are 3 tubes that were inside the box that will be included. I do not know if they are functional or not. One is an amperex ecl86/ 6gw8 and other one looks almost indentical but has no writing. The third is a sylvania 1h.
