UPPER UNIT: The Crane’s maximum lift capacity is 80.000 pounds. The current hour meter reading is 4,686 hours on the upper unit. It is annually inspected in accordance with 20 CFR 1926.1400/ B30.5 with a recent inspection date of 11-17-2011. The upper unit has a Detroit 4- 71 Diesel Engine powering two Drums, Swingers and Boom Hoist. The clutches and brakes are mechanical over Hydraulic actuation. The crane has 130 foot of Pin Connected Tubular Boom. The upper unit was refurbished in 2001 replacing the factory sheet metal with stainless steel sheet metal and the upper unit was also repowered with a remanufactured 4-71 Detroit engine. The crane boom sections(130’ were completely refurbished in 2008 rebuilding the point section and base, sandblasting and painting all booms sections with certifications supplied by United States Crane, Inc.LOWER ... moreUNIT: The Carrier unit is powered by a Detroit Diesel Engine Model 6-71. The transmission is a 5- speed Manual with Auxiliary ranges. The front two axles steer the carrier and the rear two tandem axles drive the unit. The load chart also permits some crane operations on tires only. The current hours on the lower unit are 1,853 hours and 24,969 miles. I bought this at an estate sale. As you can see. It has been used. It does work, cylinder extends and retracts as it should. I don't see any leaks in it anywhere by pumping it up and releasing it. Pic 7 shows part of one of the back foot that has been broken off. Pic 7 shows some electrical tape that I wrapped the hose in. The outer rubber protective part had splits or cuts in it, so I wrapped it with electrical tape. We both know that if the inner hose was cut, that electrical tape would not stop the hydraulic fluid from coming out. So, I didn't tape it because the inner hose was damaged, I taped it to keep the protective coating from getting ripped off, since it is important for the inner hose. If you use these, you know, they get thrown in a van or truck and roughed up alot, so the missing paint, scratches or bangs are already ... morein this one and will be in the one that has paint after it has been used and abused. Vintage Triplex 1 1/2 Ton Chain Hoist Welcome, Here is a Vintage Triplex 1 1/2 Ton Chain Hoist. Hoist looks to be in good condition. Shows some rust as expected for being vintage. Has 2 chains attached, 1 smaller and one larger chain with a hook at the end. It weighs about 112 Lbs with chains. Stamped into the hoist it reads: Triplex 1 1/2 ton, Y&T 125, 1898 model.
