Lunkenheimer 3 1/2 Diameter Plain Bell Brass Steam Whistle for Traction Engine
This is an original antique Plain Bell Lunkenheimer Brass Steam Whistle. It is 3 1/2 inches in diameter and overall just over 14 inches tall(from the hex nut at the bottom of the valve to the tip of the acorn nut on top) It reads LUNKENHEIMER on one side of the valve and 3 1/2 200 on the other. It has a 1 inch threaded inlet. This whistle is in used condition. It does have quite a bit of pitting on the bell and on the bowl. Please look closely at the photos and you can see the pitting. It does have a newly made valve and valve stem by an excellent machinist. I tested it on my 60 gallon air tank and at 30 psi it sounded great! This whistle would be great on a factory. Railroad, Steam Engine Playing Cards in Plastic Case
I cannot tell you much about these cards. Because I don't know trains well enough. But this is a deck of standard 52 playing cards and 1 joker featuring a steam engine and train on the outside. The condition of the cards are used, but there is no bends, creases and surface is still slick for dealing and shuffling. When I obtained these at estate sale, I was thinking of the train collector or the train club when traveling might like to have a nice set of cards during the evening between shows.
