Fender Stratocaster Sienna Sunburst Body - Beautiful One Piece Ash Body!!
Up for auction is a beautiful sienna sunburst stratocaster body. This came off of a guitar with a 1999 MIM Fender stratocaster neck on it and Fender parts. But I do not know for certain if the body is an actual Fender or not, since there are no markings on it. It has a beautiful grain and is made of a SINGLE piece of wood! The body is in very good condition with no bumps or bruises that go through the surface, but there are a few surface marks indicating a typical use. The neck pocket has been routed so that it is an additional 1/16 in deep. The other dimentions were not changed. Presumably this was done to fit a deeper neck than the standard strat neck. The MIM strat neck was on the guitar with a sparer added to make the neck fit properly. Please take this into consideration when thinking about buying.

There are no indications of a manufacturer, just'Made In Italy' on a sticker on the headstock- believed to have been made by EKO. This guitar combines a lam maple hollow body with dual single coil pickup to create an incredible tone. The hollow body enables a warm woody natural resonance. The bridge single coil brings high end mids to the table for brilliant yet full cleans. The neck pickup has a warm clean tone. Add a bit of overdrive and the pickups open ... moreup nicely with complex mids. Each pickup has its own volume& tone controls allowing for a wide variety of sounds. 86" deep at the 5th fret, the neck has enough mass for great tone transfer yet retains a comfortable feel. The rosewood board has a 10" radius for easy chording and effortless bends. Vintage (1960s?) Japan guitar project body redburst Teisco? 2lbs 13oz MIJ
This is a nice project body. Lightweight but upper horn extends far enough to create a well-balanced instrument. Has the usual pings and dings but nothing major. 24 3/4 inch scale. 2 lbs. 13 oz. weight. Best guess is this body is from the1960s era but I am not a guitar expert and reserve the right to be incorrect about the exact date of production. Canon EOS 600d black. 6800 shutter count, in great condition but has a few scruff marks. I brought the camera in July 2011 as a backup body. I shot it very little for the first year. Then used it for a project last fall which used up about 3500 frames. Since then it's only seen daylight a few times. Shutter working perfectly, no sensor dust, screen without marks. Includes Canon strap. 2 batteries(1 original 1 generic) a third party grip that looks good and gives better balance when using longer lens, and a Lowepro Nova 140 bag, which holds it, a zoom lens and a flash perfectly. There is a little finish crackle near the nut/first few frets where the fretboard meets the body. There are also the common hairline neck pocket finish separation lines. It is a good guitar for someone looking for restoration project. It appears to be in very good condition for a guitar of this age but I really don't know much about it as it was left by my brother who passed away.
