Ohio Tool Co. Antique Woodworking Plow Plane Late 19th or Early 20th Century
Please ask any questions before bidding and I will answer as best as I can. I am not a plow plane collector. This is a very nice example of an early plow plane with all its parts by the Ohio Tool Co. I can not verify its exact age but definitely around 1900 from the research I have done on the web. Since the nuts on both sides have carved markings and are not just smooth nuts favors pre 1900 based on catalog illustrations. As I said, I can not confirm this. It is in very good working condition for its age however, it does have damage to the threads on one nut and one inch of the right hand screw but both screws do tighten. Antique 1884 Stanley No 45 Combination Plow Plane Rosewood Handles As Found
For auction to the highest bidder this antique#45 combination plow plane from Stanley. This plane is being sold as found and I have not attempted to clean it. I believe the handle knob and guide bar are rosewood and it looks like all adjustment screws are present. The nickel finish has some flaking and pitting in areas as well as some very minor rust spots. I know these can be re-dipped and this one should clean up nice. OHIO TOOL CO#100 Handled Beech Plow Molding Plane Ohio Tool Company's No 100 plow plane is a handled plane of beech with boxwood arms. Nuts, and washers, and a screw-adjust depthstop with a screw lock. This one is in fine- condition- the only issues being some broken threads on the arms. The rear arm has only minor chips. The front arm has two areas, one near the shoulder, and one at the end, where several threads are broken off but only on the bottom(see photos 6& 8) Otherwise, it is in fine condition. The body, fence, and wedge are beautiful and crisp, the shoulders are solid, the brass has been cleaned and coated by a previous owner, and the skate is clean of rust. Up for sale is a Skid Steer mounted snow plow attachment that will fit any Bobcat skidsteer or similar type machine. It has a meyers 8.5 foot plow blade and framing that attaches it to your skidsteer. This plow will enable your skid steer to be much more productive when pushing snow than a bucket alone. It attaches very easily to the machine using the standard bobcat quick attach. This plow was used on a 864 bobcat and worked well with that size machine. The plow can use some paint. But is otherwise in decent condition for snow. It has been in storage and is a seasonal use item, so it may need a hose or fitting attention. The attachment mounting uses two removable pins for easy hookup of the plow blade, and an adjustable height for the plow chain. I am not exactly sure what model this is. But I am positive it is an Avery, and it is a distillate model, not the steam locomotive design they were also known for. I came to the conclusion of a 20-35 model by comparing this to other antique Avery tractors on line. Including 12-25's, 14-28's, 18-36's, 25-50's, and 40-80's, and to me, the 20-35 seemed to match up the best. The postcard measures about 5 3/8 X 3 3/8 inches.
