Features four iron double hooks-the kind that will hold a hat above and a coat below; these hooks were originally painted a gold-brass color but have aged to a distressed finish. The style is somewhat Mission/Arts& Crafts-very simple in design; it looks like oak wood. But I am no expert so I can't say for sure-please refer to photos to judge. Condition is pretty much as it appears in photos. It is old; as its handcrafted it is somewhat primitive and is unfinished on undersides that don't show. Which is typical with antiques; it shows normal vintage wear(some dings here and there and a few hairlines-one was behind a hook-see pics) but nothing too bad. Two of the"feet" ... moreare loose and one had a screw added to it on underside at some point but otherwise the feet were nailed on; buyer may wish to nail down the feet more as one popped off while I was taking it apart for packing and I popped it back on, but all that said, it looks good overall and is sturdy and stands fine. That can not be seen when the bowl is sitting, although you can look through the glass and see the area if you know what you are looking for. the foot has the same 3-daisy pattern repeated. So with that pattern, this chip is near impossible to notice for the casual observer. there is a slight amount of shelf-wear on the foot. Vintage Christmas Card/ Rich's Dept Store Atlanta, Lighting of the Great Tree
Rich's Department Store was an Atlanta institution for close to a century. During the depression. The store actually kept the city afloat by paying the city employees. It was finally sold to Macy's about 10 years ago. The original Downtown store of Rich's had a bridge over Forsythe Street linking the home and clothing stores. A great Atlanta Christmas tradition, evey Thanksgiving evening, tens, sometimes hundreds of thousands would gather in the street on both sides of the bridge and be entertained by seven area choirs singing Christmas carols, climaxing with the lighting of the Great Tree on top of the bridge, as the soprano hit the high note of Oh Holy Night. The downtown Riches store was demolished in the 70s and the tradition was moved to Underground Atlanta but the celebration was never the same. This is a Christmas card ... moredepicting the event, a pencil sketch, issued before the store was torn down. It is unmarked, unblemished and includes the envelope.

Here are two nice resin/plastic Coca Cola Santa ornaments. The bottle cap is from 1991 and shows minor wear. I realized after taking the pictures that the rim of the cap is a little pushed in at the bottom and bent. It's hard plastic and I'm not the original owner. So I'm not really sure how that happened wihtout it breaking-it's solid! The other ornament is so cute. A little Santa drinking a bottle of Coca Cola and holding a sign-he's only about 1 1/2" tall. Navajo rug w/pine tree & corn design
This rug was purchased at Mesa Verde. CO in the gift shop in 1975. It has never been on the floor and was always hung. It has the pine tree symbols in the 4 corners and between them the symbol for corn growing. I was attracted to this rug because of it's colors. At the top is a black band, then white, then purple. Next is the tan color with the symbols. Then comes black band, grey with orange arrow symbols, then black band again. Large white band with black designs(unknown what they represent) the black band and tan with the black designs repeating in the middle to what is reverse of the lines to the bottom of rug. It only has 2 ties where it was attached to the loom on one end, the other ties are missing. There is a small area of grey or black that bled into the white area and is more noticeable in one side. You can see it in pictures ... more2 and in 3 you can see that it isn't so noticeable. As you know they are one of a kind rugs and this one has no holes, tears, and is woven very tightly. We are putting up for auction a variety of Copeland Spode India Tree earthenware dishes. Thi s pattern is number 2/959 and is heavily scalloped with a cream background. The India tree pattern is in orange and rust co loring with red trim. The back stamp on all of the china is mark# 259. The so called"old mark" or"old ba ckstamp" Please see all the items we are listing. We are glad to combine shipping when possible. The next item up for sale is a bread plate.
