This is an antique bottle. I am not sure if it was a maple syrup pitcher. Or perhaps a vinegar cruet. It measures about 6 1/4 inches tall, and 11 1/2 inches around. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is no stopper. IT has markings on the bottom I can't make out. It starts out PA then there are another 6 or 8 letters followed by OR. Bears a marking saying"11 Oz. a reference not to weight or volume but to the fact that it's coin silver. In amazing condition for its age with only the most minor tarnish. FROM BROOK LAWN FARM ESOPUS ON HUDSON Here is a rare bottle which I found in Maine. Unfortunately I washed out a little bit of grime and when it cooled it cracked. The crack has not traveled any farther since that time about 5 years ago. Someone I know says they have once seen a smaller bottle marked similarly. I don't know what it contained. Probably something that could have been made on a farm: possibly Maple Syrup or vinegar. The shape reminds me of the US Hospital Dept. Bottles It is aqua. Hand blown with a tooled lip, 9" ht. Other than the crack it is in very near mint condition. I am thinning out my bottle collection and will be listing more throughout the month. Returns only for inaccurate descriptions. Such a special piece. Extremely rare and beautifully preserved. Jadeite in color but this piece is quite old. Pewter top functions wonderfully by pressing down with your thumb to pour out maple syrup onto a stack of homemade blueberry pancakes. What a stunner this would be to add to your table, or collection or photo shoot! This glass pitcher was made in a three piece blow mold with a hand applied handle and top. Raised dots and floral designs decorate the piece. In very good condition but I did notice a hairline that runs less than 3" on one side please see pic. No chips!
