Who is excited about the idea of her long-saved Bicentennial amber glass Log Cabin bottle going on auction( and my father-in-law is also excited at the idea that it will finally be out of the garage. So please let's make both of them happy) She purchased it in 1976. It is 8.5" tall. 4.5" wide and 2.5" deep. It has the Log Cab in and the other markings on the bottom. But no paper label and no top. Vintage Roycroft Maple Syrup mauve Jug
Up for viewing and bidding pleasure is an Original Vintage Roycroft Maple Syrup mauve Jug. Excellent in condition. This jug still holds the original Roycroft Trademark maple syrup label& tassels. The Original Roycroft trademark was adapted from a symbol used by a school of 14th Century monks to identify their hand illuminated manuscripts. This single"R" brand appeared on Roycroft Merchandise fabricated in East Aurora from 1895 to 1938. From The Roycroft Shops a little brown jug which used to contain 14 fluid ounces of pure maple syrup. This jug is in the color of mauve. It does not contain the Roycroft stamp on the bottom that I can see. My grandparents bought this syrup back in the early 1940s and it did contain syrup but I removed it from the jug because it was oozing from the wax seal. The cork and wax that was on the top ... morewas dried out and I was not able to save it. This jug stands roughly 5.25 inches high and is about 4 inches in diameter at the shoulder. 1800's Pioneer Sap Maple Syrup Tin - Bliss Refining Company - Not Spice Coffee
Here is a Pioneer Sap Maple Syrup Tin. Canned expressly for the Bliss Syrup Refining Company. This tin measures 6 1/2" tall(bottom to top of spout) by 4" wide by 2 7/8" deep. The graphics are printed on the tin itself, not on paper labels. From its appearance, I believe this tin dates to the late-1800's. Overall this tin is in fair condition. As you can see in the photos. The graphics printed on the tin's four sides show varying degrees of wear. The front graphic is fairly clean with some minor paint flakes missing, the two sides show more moderate wear and the back is pretty heavily worn and barely visible anymore. The glare in the photos is a result of the plastic shrinkwrapping reflecting the light. This tin has been shrink-wrapped in plastic to protect it from wear and damage. These 5/16 tree saver taps can be used with tubing or without. No clamp needed when using hose to barbs on the taps. Just hang plastic milk jug on the tap to catch the sap or run a hose to bucket or main line. The special design of the tree saver spouts is for quick closing of the hole in the tree after the spout has been removed after syrup season is over. Just purchased from an estate sale. It is a lot of 5 really nice vintage maple syrup spiles/taps/spouts etc. whatever you know them as. They are old/vintage and are made of cast iron. They each have a PAT'D on them. They are different then most I have seen listed in that they have an extra loop at the top as seen in the photos.
