Vintage Gold Colored Aluminum Hardhat Hard Hat " McDonald ?" Mine Mining
Vintage Aluminum Hard Hat Gold Colored I assume made by McDonald as the other 4 are I have Listed. The hat came from a retired Texaco Refinery worker here at the plant in Port Arthur. Texas but does not have the Texaco Star Stamp as some of the others do. The lining is intact on the inside. The metal hardhats were standard wear here in the numerous refineries before the conversion to plastic in the late 60's. His name is tape labeled on the front and I've left it there for antiquity though it can be easily removed. Please see the other hats listed that came from this estate and if you want more than 1 or all I can negotiate a package deal:

McDONALD T Mine Safety+Logging/Oil Rig Full Brim HARDHAT Aluminum 1950s-60s Vtg.
Vintage 1950s-1960s full brim hardhat manufactured by McDonald Mine Safety Appliances Company. Model is T Hat-Standard +. Suitable for mining. Logging and oil drilling. Made of aluminum with three sturdy clips double-riveted to the crown. Single and double rivets spaced around the brim, perhaps to hold some kind of liner? The inner webbing is intact. The band is adjustable from size 6 7/8 to 7 5/8. A previous owner has scratched the number"41" on the underside of the brim. Along with the word"FLEA" perhaps his name or nickname. Each side has a triangular decal featuring flames. There is a large dent on what I believe is the back, which makes me wonder if this hat had saved a life as intended. It has 7 old Union stickers from the 1970's. Good condition but needs to be cleaned. Would make a nice man cave decoration.
