This is in between an 8562a(old technology) and 8563ec(current technology) this unit has nearly the bandwidth resolution of an 8563e. And far better than the 8562a, also the sensitivity is in between the 8562a and 8563e, and the frequency stability is near the same as the 8563e. also one advantage this has to the more expensive E version is that it has built in signal ID and demodulator standard! 8563e doesnt have either standard.
