The auction includes the LUMBER CAR, FIVE ORIGINAL LOGS, THE ORIGINAL BOX WITH CARDBOARD LINER, and THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT DATED 12/31/43! The car is complete with all functioning/mobile parts. The logs contain all original parts. And the box is complete other than the small closing flap on one end. On one side, there is the word, Top" written. The receipt is from Macy's, and shows the cost as $6.50! All parts of the car are original. The 3361 log dump flatcar replaced the 3461 as the standard log dump car in Lionel's product line. G Bachmann Spectrum 2-6-0 Mogul 1:20.3 Scale Steam Locomotive and Tender#81496 Yellow Pine Lumber This locomotive was purchased secondhand and saw almost no service from the previous owner because of a broken gear. As a result. There is no wear on the wheels and there was still grease in the gearbox. In both homes the locomotive has been treated as a shelf princess. The stock(cracked) cast nylon gear has been carefully replaced with a much more durable aftermarket machined Delrin gear from NWSL. See photos) After replacement the locomotive was suspended with the drive wheels hanging and test run both forward and reverse. Wheel drag was manually applied during the test to make sure that the mechanism was operating properly without internal slippage. The engine runs smoothly and should be enjoyable to run for a long time. PA This is a very rare old large advertising sign that is made of porcelain and advertises for a company out of Parkesburg. Pennsylvania. This sign dates to around the late 1800's-early 1900's. Red, white and blue colored sign reads on the front, A.R. Reid Estate COAL Lumber and Millwork E. Main St. Parkesburg" Sign is not in the greatest condition overall but it is probably one-of-a-kind and a really neat collectible for Parkesburg, PA collectors. It is a very neat local piece. Sign was made by a company on William St. in New York as seen on the bottom. Sign is nice and sturdy and weighs about 7.5 lbs. overall.
