Up for auction is this Disston hand saw with thumbhole. I can't see any distinctive marks on the blade therefor I am not totally sure of the model number. It looks very similar to the D8 model. The condition is described in detail in the condition description. This saw will clean up well as it is quite dirty and I have NOT made any attempt at all to clean it. Please study the pictures well because what you see is EXACTLY what you will get. I try to take as detailed of pictures as possible with a high resolution camera. Here is a vintage Disston D7 Saw Handle with steel medallion(early 1950s? and sawnuts. The handle. Medallion, and sawnuts were taken from a Disston D7- the etch on the blade was visible. So as far as I know, the sawnuts and medallion are original to the handle. The handle needs some cleaning up, and could be refinished, but is in otherwise nice condition, with no cracks and only very minor chips. The sawnuts and medallion are also in nice condition. Here we have a nice small set of Vintage Disston& Morss. Phila, Trammel Points. These are probably from the late 1800's. After which Disston saws, etc. were stanped wiht"Dissotn& Sons" This is a nice pair that are only 3-1/2" tall. Brass bodies with steel tips. Nice knurled screws that work just fine. A 5/8" high x 5/16" thick beam should fit this pair.

Very narrow bastard file is a Grobet+Vallorbe Swiss file. They are all US made files except the one from Switzerland. They range in total size of 5 5/8" inches to 8" inches long. Vintage Henry DISSTON/KEYSTONE Air Master K-4 Crosscut Saw 10ppi 20 inch
H. Disston K-4 Air Master. Straight-back saw. The brass medallion is Disston/Warranted Superior with the center keystone. The blade is 20" long, it's 1-1/2" at the toe and 5-1/4" at the heel. I count 10 tpi or ppi and it is stamped with a number 10 at the heel. Very straight blade, small kink at the very tip, some discoloration. There is no pitting or rust on the blade. The etch is visible, a little light in spots. I do not know what type of wood the handle is but it is in excellent shape. The handle is wheat-carved and has no chips, cracks or repairs. Nice handle. It does have some scratches that come from use and age. Almost all of the original finish remains in the handle. I don't think it would take too much to fully restore this saw. Otherwise, it's a great display piece or gift for the tool collector, handyman, ... morecarpenter or wood worker. Rare Disston D20 Panel Saw 24" Blade 11 PPI* Clean saw for it's age! Offered is a recent barn find in Bucks County PA. Inside an old wooden carpenter's box(box not included) was this 24" Disston D20 panel saw with the triple wheat 4 bolt hardwood handle. Very beautiful. Apple or beech. I can't tell, look over the pictures. It still has some of the original protector varnish on the wood. I believe this was the early pre-1928 saw as the number 20 is found inside the"D" on the etch. The blade is straight with no missing teeth and very clean. No rust, looks to have been used very little as the only staining found looks like a few rain drops, that's it. Any clean up, if desired, will be left up to the winner to decide. Vintage Disston USA marking pin burnisher
This vintage Disston marking pin can also be used as a burnisher to make a hook on scraper blades. The ferrule is a bit shaky. But the pin is solid in the handle. I sharpened the tip using a 6000 grit stone so it can cut sideways.

Vintage Uncommon Disston D-8 Lightweight RIP SAW- 6 tpi- Nice Ship Pattern This is a 26-inch Henry Disston& Sons D-8 Lightweight Rip Saw. 6 tpi and so marked. This saw, with the post 1928 etching, dates probably from early 1930s, when the Lightweight version(introduced a few years earlier) of Disston's popular skewback D-8 saws became available in a couple of rip saw toothings. Like the full bodied D-8s, this rip saw has the second hand assist thumb hole. Unusual to see on a ship pattern type saw. This version comes from the classic age, between the wars" and is harder to find than it might appear. The etching can be read but not from across the room. The modified logo in advertising and shorter name on the medallions was probably done to improve brand identity. This auction is for a very nice vintage USA made POWR-KRAFT BY DISSTON. Full taper ground, chrome nickel alloy steel- high temper bevel filed- uniform set hand saw. It is 29 inches in overall length with 26 inches of teeth. It is marked as noted nice and"NO 84-3922-26" 10 POINT" The saw is in excellent condition. The handle is solid and tight with minimal finish loss. It's two-toned on the top with nice wood grain. The blade features a nail cutting section of teeth along the top at the toe for 3-1/2 inches. Nice. As found hand saw from a local estate. Straight blade with 7 tpi Blade measures 26" and etching is fairly easy to read. Disston button reads"Disston USA" I made no attempt to clean the blade.only wiped down. I did wipe down the wood handle with a damp cloth. Handle has some paint drips mostly seen on the backside. No chips seen on handle. Most of the original finish intact. More pics or any questions can be easily messaged through eBay messaging. Vintage H. Disston K5 Defender 5-1/2ppi 26 Inch Rip Hand Saw ~GOOD USER~
Straight. Sharp& useable H. Disston Keystone model K5 Defender and it is a skew-back saw. The medallion is Warranted Superior with the Disston Keystone. The blade is 26" long, it's 2" at the toe and 6" at the heel. I count 5-1/2 ppi and it is stamped with a number 5-1/2 at the heel. Laser straight blade with some discoloration. It has very minimal pin-point pitting in a couple spots on the blade. The etching on the blade is strong and clear. I do not know what type of wood the handle is but it is in great shape. The handle is wheat-carved and has no chips or repairs, it is solid and tight. There is a hairline crack through the bottom two bold holes on only the left side. Some of the original finish remains in the handle. I don't think it would take too much to fully restore this saw. VINTAGE 1947 H. DISSTON D-8 26" HAND SAW 8ppi SHINY, STRAIGHT & USEABLE!
Henry Disston& Sons model D-8 and it is a skew-back saw. The hardware and medallion are all nickel plated brass. The blade is 26" long. It's 2-1/4" at the toe and 6-3/4" at the heel. I count 8 ppi and it is stamped with a number 8 at the heel. LASER STRAIGHT blade with some discoloration. There is no rust or pitting on the blade. The etch is clear and sharp. The teeth are still sharp. The handle is just about perfect, no chips, cracks or repairs. All of the original finish remains in the handle. If you don't use this saw, it's a great display piece or gift for the tool collector, handyman, carpenter or wood worker. Vintage Disston D23 Lightweight Hand Saw with Button on Handle
There is some surface rust on the saw which can probably be cleaned off. But I leave that choice up to the buyer. Teeth feel sharp and none are missing. Vintage 1917-1940 Short 14 1/2" Disston Phila Medallion Flooring ? Saw Unusual
This is the 2nd saw like this that I've had and I have no idea what type of saw this is. I looked at all the saws on the Disstonian Institute and could not find this. It is 141/2" long. Is marked 11 teeth to the inch and the Disston Phila medallion dates it to 1917-1940. Can anyone help me out?It;s an old saw in decent shape but the blade needs a lot of rust cleaning as can be seen in the pictures. Email if you have questions and thanks for looking.
