I travel around the country with an rug tent sale. I've acquired a few wool rugs over the years and, well, it's time to let this particular one go. This particular piece I've had for about 4 years, I've shown it to many people and a few customers really liked it. It's actually very unique and striking to look at in person. I like it a lot myself, in fact, which is why I acquired it in the first place! So I figure with the broader audience of eBay I'll be able to find a good home for this beautiful work of art. What we have here is a Lavar Kirman made in India. It was woven in India sometime around 2006. But the design is based on a design that originates ... morefrom the town of Ravar(sometimes spelled"Lavar" just outside of Kerman(sometimes spelled"Kirman" in old Persia. This really is a beautiful piece with a very soft pile. And a tight weave. It has a knot density of about 90 per square inch. It's made with extremely high quality wool that almost does not shed at all. That is to say, it doesn't"pill" at all. I'll send you a certificate of authenticity with this rug. With it's description and an appraised value. I estimate the full, high retail value of this piece to be around $8,000. This auction is for a used Gretsch Catalina Maple 9x12 tom drum with the hanging suspension hardware. 12" inch drum head-you may want to change the top head. Bottom head is original Gretsch logo. The only defects I see is some dust. Finger prints, and some minor rubs and nicks. Four small wear spots on the suspension section by the rim. No unfinished wood showing. No rust, no pitting.
