I have for sale a dual channel audio monitoring panel made by General Electric. It is a model 4FA53A1 It is missing the selector switches and the audio VU meter movements. I do not have them. They were missing by the time I acquired the panel. An item that is 1950s or 1960s vintage. Came from a broadcast television studio. The audio attenuators are still in the panel and are probably still very functional. Meter openings are 2 1/8" by 3 11/16" Sold AS IS.

RARE VINTAGE GENERAL ELECTRIC AMP METER IN BLACK BAKELITE CASE * 0-5A AC *WORKS
A beautiful and rare Vintage Laboratory Electrical Meter. Made by General Electric of America with nice GE logo on the case and the meter scale. This is an amp meter(ampmeter) with a range of 0-5A AC at 25-125 c/s as per its markings. The black bakelite case is in very good condition for its age. Just a few normal scratches/scuffs noticed, no cracks as far as we can see. Hinge in good condition. Working fine, the meter itself is very low series resistance(less than 1 ohm on my multimeter) and the non-linearity of the scale suggests this is probably a moving iron type movement. I would think with some tlc and bakelite polishing paste this will come up really nice and shiny! Tested on a low voltage transformer and series resistor it seems to be working but we cannot vouch for the calibration accuracy across the whole scale(no idea what it was ... moresupposed to be anyway) Will be shipped very well packed indeed with the usual"shorting link" added to dampen the movement during transit. Vintage General Electric Brightness Meter : 1920-1950 : Foot lambert
This is a very hard to find old brightness meter made my General Electric. Also listed on the side are M. Luckiesh and A.H. Tayor of Lighting Research Laboratory. Unsure of exact age but it resembles others instruments of this type from the 1920's-1950's. It includes several interesting pieces of paper that help date the unit and provide some back story. It appears to have been used in Hollywood California from the late 1940's through the 1960's. I believe the plastic case is bakelite. The meter has been tested with D batteries and is working. Though I cannot say if it is reading accurately. Condition is very good. When I received this item it had black foam tape to pad the case- this foam tape had degraded over the years and left sticky black residue on several areas of the meter. I was able to clean it off with no problems ... moreexcept for the round clear plastic disc that covers a text card- this was permanently stained and warped. It also got on the type printed paper, which is why I have put it in a plastic sheet. Other that that it is in great shape. The wood box is also very nice and in good condition. WESTERN ELECTRIC combination volt& ohm meter. Post WWII era. Heavy Bakelite casing, clean and totally intact. The interior is clean with a BELL battery in place, not corroded. The volt meter works correctly to measure house current. The ohm meter is untested due to the battery age. The knobs turn easily; the connections are clean. The wires are supple and intact; the prongs are clean and intact. The box measure 5.75" x 5.50"x4.25" approx, and weighs 1# 14 oz. The wires are 46" long with prongs. This instrument was rescued from a camp on Lake Winnepesaukee many years ago and has been used occasionally in an inside workshop. This is a very unusual antique Portostat 0-300 D.C. Amperes meter gauge made by Allen Electric. This circa 1930's classic gauge is great looking with a polished copper plated brass housing and period style graphics on the antique toned dial face. I am not sure what specific use this was made for. But from what I've found it was likely an automotive or possibly radio current measuring instrument. This meter is in nice original condition with some minor plating loss on the housing. The glass is clear with no issues. It measures about 2-1/2 inches at the face and 3 inches at the base. The terminals on the back are not corroded and have the nuts and washers still attached. This sharp looking gauge would be a great addition to a collection or would be an awesome piece in a period style artistic endeavor. Thank you for looking.

Vintage General Electric Wattage Meter Tester-Unique- Must See! This old G.E. wattage tester is in really nice shape. From what I was told it was used by a sales rep to show the lower wattage usage of the new General Electric products compared to older or competitor's examples. It makes sense since there is 2 inputs and a switch to show the wattage each is putting out. But I'm not sure that is what it was used for. It does have a nice wood grained case and a hefty handle. It has been tested and does work. I tested a 100 watt bulb in a table lamp which show the results in the one photo.
