Vintage Duncan Briggs Southbend 1120 fly reel
Up for bid is a vintage Duncan Briggs made for Southbend fly reel made in 1955-1957 in Providence Rhode Island USA. This reel was only made for about 3 years and was sold as a Weber and South Bend as well as others. The reel face is about 3-3/8" in diameter and will hold most any trout weight line. It has good weight for longer rods. Especially longer cane. This is one of the more affordable vintage reels with enough weight and capacity for long blue-collar cane or fiberglass rods. The drag gear fixed on the spindle with the spring and pawl on the spool is an idea to counter-balance the handle. The reel is in absolutely perfect never fished condition and works properly. Up for consideration is this amazing piece of Yo Yo History from 1958. This Duncan Mardi Gras Yo Yo is in amazing condition. And a perfect example of its era. The yo yo has Equal spacing all the way around. No melted or disfigurement, like so many others. The colors are bright and vibrant. The yo yo has a very cool 3D effect with the white/red and tiny gold flakes throughout. The Mardi Gras was another very unusual model from the end of the old Duncan company. This one was produced to appeal to girls. Because the halves were similar to some of the bakelite jewelry of the time. But with it's solid plastic sides and metal axle, this one was capable of long spins and appealed to everyone. Very heavy for a small, thin yo-yo. Like the WOC. Navigator by ESP Vintage Re-Issue w/Kahler and Duncan Bridge Pickup SH1B
Up for sale is a rare Navigator made in Japan by ESP. To clarify. It is not the super high end one's, they have a rather large"G" in the logo, this was the mid level model. There isn't much info to find on this unless you have catalogs or guitar magazines from the eighties, or do a ton of searching online. From what I can find, this series is order made, not production. It is an"SE" model, which I believe stands for"Strat Electric" You can find a few catalogs online, mostly from the late 70's to the mid 80's that show other guitars like this. This guitar is obviously a Strat style. In wine red with a bound Mahogany body. It sports a Kahler tremolo system(no bar) accompanied by a locking nut system. The Kahler has fine tuners that work just fine. There are no issues with it not staying in tune. ... moreIt has 2 humbuckers, the neck is original I believe, I put in a Seymour Duncan SH1B 59 bridge pickup just a week ago, that was $70 and had a set up done, another $50. The two knobs are global volume and tone. The pickup selector is a 3 way toggle switch. Most of the cosmetic damage is to the body. There are dents and dings and the worst is highlighted in the pictures. Please, understand this is used, in good shape, not perfect. Please please please look at the pictures. If you think you won't be happy with the damage, don't bid or buy. There is a crack on the input jack cover plate. Tone- The neck is full and can get real creamy if you roll the tone down. The middle position is brighter. Not quite stratty, but bright. The bridge is full and articulate, as well as bright. Its' an SH1B. The headstock is a strat style. Which would suggest the date of production to be around the lawsuit era. It reads, Navigator produced by ESP. The tuning machines are 6 individual vintage style machines, very similar to Fender style. The neck is a finished maple complimented by a nice grained rosewood fretboard. There 21 frets and it has Mother of Pearl dot inlays. The nut looks plastic.

It started with a dream. Erma Duncan was a talented artist who enjoyed sharing her gift with everyone. Her love for fired art began at a very young age. As did her natural ability to share her knowledge. Erma began teaching while still in her teens. Her first national recognition for her artwork came in the early 1900s. It was customary for artists at that time to send their work into popular magazines hosting contests for artists, such as the Saturday Evening Post. Top prizes included cash and musical instruments. The Molds I have for sale came from an abandoned building that used to be a Ceramic Shop. After awhile the building was condemned and the roof collapsed. Some of the molds were destroyed but some were still intact. The building is going to be demolished and I got a chance to spend a few hours inside getting the more valuable molds out and are placing them on eBay for auction. inventory#57 Some pictures were digitally enhanced to bring out the details of the molds. It's very hard to see any details of the white molds without doing this. Some of the pictures may show some spotting or darker spots but these spots and not raised and the molds should still be usable.
