Vintage salesman's tool for Kirby Vacuum. A rare find! Kirby sales men used this in place of a bag to show potential buyers how much dirt the Kirby was picking up. It appears to be aluminum and glass. With a hinged door on the back. The latched"door" has a large Kirby logo on it. And a rubber gasket around the inside rim. The opposite side(I would call it the front) has clear glass in it, which allows you to see through, to the Kirby logo. The meter has not been fully tested but was given a detailed inspection. I did not plug in the unit due to a missing 1.5v battery. I do not know what kind of battery belongs there otherwise everything inside looks good. The plastic lens on top of the dial has no major cracks or scratches. All of the buttons and knobs turns smoothly and lines up properly with the settings. The unit appears to be in overall good shape. There are no burn marks or smells emitting from the unit. No operators manual or test leads present. This unit is used to test the quality of electrolytic condensers at a test potential of 150 volts. Up for sale is a vintage german Gossen Sixtomat Color Finder light meter. This meter is in excellent condition and was purchased in person in Vienna. Austria from a friend who found it in his house. I don't think the sixtomat has been taken out of its matching leather case since it was new, as some minor felt dust is visible from decades of storage. Does it function? Yes it does. The wheel turns smoothly and so does the DIN/ASA dial within the wheel. The blind slides open and closed with no problems. I tested it against my Sekonic Flashmate L-308B and they seem to give the same readings most of the time. Though I have not tested it with a film camera by its side. It is even extremely responsive; for demonstration purposes. The last two pictures show two different readouts on the finder. One was taken in normal room light, and the other ... morewas taken with flash. As you can see, the needle reacted to the change of light quickly.quickly enough for my camera lens to even capture it!
