Up for Auction is a Vintage Bakelight Bertram Bewi Automat Light Meter with Leather Case- In Working Condition. INSTRUCTIONS: Automat means automatic. The process is that you set the film speed by turning the outer knurled ring on the right side. Then you aim it, press and hold the inner button for a couple of seconds, and when you let go of it, the f/stop-shutter speed combinations appear in the window in the center. VERY EASY TO USE. As I practiced with it, these numbers changed based on the amount of light I pointed it at. I am no expert, but since the numbers changed based on pointing it at bright light vs dark light, I can only assume, not guarantee, it is reflecting the correct numbers. Vintage Hickok Analog Dual Range 10-50 MA. Waite X-Ray Steampunk Porthole Meter
Here is an old Dual Range Milliamp Meter from a Waite X-Ray Machine. The meter is made by Hickok as Model 22. There are two ranges of 0-10ma. And 0-50ma. These are switchable via a lever on the rear of the meter. Connection is via the two radial mounting bolts. One nut is missing. The crescents visible on the face are a lighting reflection from the mirrored sides of the meter housing. This is a working meter with a DCR in the 10ma range of 42.2 ohms and in the 50ma range it is 12.8 ohms. The bakelite bezel measures about 8-1/2 inches across with a depth of 4 inches and a panel cutout of about 8-1/4 inches. The packed shipping weight is 9 lb. I purchased the meter in the mid-80s from the estate of an art patron who also enjoyed photography. However, since I tend to prefer incident light readings, I continued to use a Minolta“LunaPro” Auto Meter III that I already owned. You are looking at a flawlessly restored Eco 98 Air meter. It doesn't get much nicer than this! It was completely disassembled and sandblasted. Next it was sanded smooth and primed. After it was prepped it went to the paint room and the red and black was sprayed. After the base coats it got a very slick and deep looking clear coat. This paint is almost flawless. To set this meter off a Flying A emblem was mounted to the back. It was created with a plasma table. A flying A decal was placed on the pedestal. The meter still has its original face and number reels. It has a new crank. Glass, and I.D tag. Air meters are the perfect size to display anywhere. It is 56 1/2' tall and 11' wide. This is a pre-Spotmatic Pentax SLR- with NO INTERNAL METER. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with just some tape adhesive on the top of the pentaprism and some initials scratched into the bottom plate. The shutter speeds are all accurate. Shutter curtains are excellent- no wrinkles or distortions. Film advance is smooth. The focal lens is mint inside and out- no glass issues. No marks on the body, clean aperture blades, no fungus or haze. HCE 52mm haze 1 filter included. Sekonic clip-on exposure meter is active and appears accurate. 42mm thread bellows is in good condition- has the same initials on the bottom as the camera. 4 accura extension tubes with auto pins built in. It is responding to being covered or lit up. But seems very"dull" Using a flashlight causes it to jump to the max setting of 50, but regular room lighting with fluorescent lights registers as"inadequate for critical seeing" despite being easy to read in.
