It is more than loud enough to play out. Output is 60w RMS. The eBay listing asks for impedance. I would think 8 ohm, but don't really know. The cabinet is a bottom-ported reflex style with a 15” speaker(see photos) From what I read online. The speakers they used were“JBL, Altec, KIH( or CTS square magnet speakers. This speaker may be a CTS(see photo) Look online for CTS, they have a good pedigree. The grill cloth is in perfect condition. Silver threading and dark brown velour stripes. Original wheels in excellent condition. Also, has the original amp cover(see photo) I have yet to see one of these with the original cover and the majority are missing knobs and other parts. The only‘glitch’ is a half-second squeal when the‘Selective Boost’ is turned to the 5-6 position while the‘Boost Volume’ is set above 3-4. It has done this since I owned it. TRAYNOR (RSC?) 15" 8 OHM Cast Frame Speaker- Needs recone. From TS75 Amp Combo
8 Ohm. Removed from Traynor 1979- early 80s amp Will need recone. Massive Cast frame. Weighs a bit more than 20 pounds! Was in a 75 watt Guitar amp. Massive cast. Not stamped, frame with aluminum dome and rear voice coil vent. Reminds me of a JBL or Electrovoice. Google Traynor TS75 and you can read more about these and also hear one in action on YouTube. According to a guitarscanada thread. The TS-75 from the same period has a 15-inch speaker, said to be an RSC, which gets raves(at least within the small circle of people who have ever seen or have any idea what a Traynor TS-75 is) I know this will be a great speaker to someone who has the expertise to recone it. Current cone is deformed and there is a voice coil rub. But the frame is structurally and cosmetically very sound. Hope it finds a new home to rock on for another 35 years! Sold ... moreas is.
