PATTI PLAYPAL BY IDEAL Really pretty 36" Tall Vintage Patti Patty Playpal doll by Ideal Corp. Fully jointed at neck. Arms and legs. She is wearing an original dress with pinafore, missing her original panties but has original socks and shoes. Her dress and pinafore is fine but it could use a wash and pressing, after all she's been wearing it for quite some time. It seems to me that her upper arms are a little faded looking than the lower part of her arms. No breaks, splits or damage on vinyl, maybe a few slight scratches and she does have a cheek rub on her left cheek, also a very slight separation on her lashes on the right eye. This model is known as Carrot top due to her orange hair. Her bangs are shorter underneath and I've tried to show this in her photos. For your consideration is a vintage pair of original Penny and or Patti Playpal shoes. Penny normally wore these but Patti did too. They fit both dolls. These shoes are from the late 50's early 60's. I do feel these shoes are in very nice condition. They still have shine to them, straps do not appear to be cut nor broken. It is made of Wood and masonite ... morewith some metal fasteners and a metal door bell(bicycle dome metal type missing outside lever) and the hardware on the door. The house is in very good old condition. The house is 3/4" scale(1/16) It measures Approx. 25" inches wide x 18" inches high to the top of the chimney x 9 1/2" inches deep. Featuring round open cut attic windows under the eves that have a super charming scalloped trim. The exterior is Yellow with white. Red shutters, a green roof with two handsome red chimneys, The front door is securely attached and opens and closes. It has a wooden front molded porch pediment as a roof over the arched doorway and protecting a scrolled light above the door that is flanked by 2 small charming windows and corresponding red planter jars. The interior has four spacious rooms. The floor space of the largest rooms measure approx. 9+ inches x 15+ inches. The ceiling height is approx. 7 inches. There are a few scratches& marks on the interior and exterior walls. This house displays beautifully and would look great filled with Renwal. But I'll just say this, the handles are in great shape with no rips or tears and the tool has not been beaten up. Antique '20 15" Composition Cloth Nurse Doll & VTG Outfit Ideal Cant BreakEm/Pin
I found this old doll in an antique store. She is 14 1/2" tall with composition head. Arms and shoulder plate and cloth body and legs. There is a voice box inside her that rattles when shaken so may have been a talker that no longer works. She has a mark on shoulder plate that looks Ideal but cannot make it out for sure. She has an old stick pin on bodice that says 1920 on front and Cosnocton, Ohio and Made by American Art Works on back. She is dressed as a nurse with blue and white soft muslin stripes and full skirt and a white cotton apron and nurse cap. Her undies are really funny as they have a red figure in them and seem to be handmade. There is also an under shirt of crepe material with hand stitching. She has on old stockings and white lace up high top shoes made of cloth. Nurse clothing has no holes but the hand made things that ... morecame with her have holes. Etc. This includes a dress and peach colored bonnet. Head and face: Face has really nice rosy cheek color. It is clean with very little crazing and only problem is the left eye has been touched up. Head has crazing and some paint chips gone and left side of neck has paint loss. These are paint chips. Not into the cmpo. Please check the pictures as they are an important part of the descruption. Body: Clean and pretty good shape. Legs seem to be hand sewn on as some books say. Front of shoulder plate is fine. Back of it has paint cracks. arms and we hands are so detailed and cute with all fingers present. This little doll has been loved and played with a lot. Non smoking home. Ideal Giggles doll ~Green eyes~ Her giggle still works~
This little cutie-pa-tootie is Ideal Giggles! She shows evidence of having been well loved& played with. But other than a few scuffs and scratches, the only other flaws to mention are a just few stray marks that do not seem to wash off. Not being sold as mint, but she does still have a working giggle and still makes a darling display doll. No odors. I noticed she makes a better giggle when her arms are gripped higher. Rather than merely gripping her hands to open and close her arms. Apparently causes better pressure build up in the giggle mechanism? Ususally 3, 4, or 5 chirps to open arms, then usually 2 when closed. An absolutely adorable blonde. Spiral curl wig is held in place with several straight pins throughout the head to help conceal a hair cut which was not very flattering(to say the least) from a previous mommy. Very Early 8 Inch Plastic Ideal Baby Doll Pat Pend. Eyes open and close
Dolls were still made in America. And Ideal was the brand we all knew and loved. On auction today is a very early plastic baby doll by Ideal with the words'Ideal Patent Pend" on her back. She's the kind of plastic doll that was put together with a seam. She is dressed in lace and crochet with a blue velvet waist band, so typical of those early days gone by. Vintage Ideal Penny Playpal doll, Patti's little sister, played with, clean
Here is a pretty little gal from the Patti Playpal family. This is Penny. Patti's little sister. She is a doll that has been played with, so she is not perfect, but she has been beautifully redressed for spring and looks lovely on display. She has been thoroughly cleaned from head to toe and redressed in the cute outfit shown in photos. Shoes. Socks, and hairbow are all new; dress is in excellent used condition with no stains, rips or disrepair. PLEASE NOTE: the dress is actually a little more lilac than blue- this did not show up very well in the photos. Back of her neck is marked Ideal Doll 32-E.L. and her back is marked with the Ideal logo. She has green sleep eyes that work well. Her joints are all firm and she holds pose well. She has normal play wear to include scuffs. Smudges, scratches, etc. Her significant blemishes include cracks ... moreat her neck that appear to have been repaired at some point, she is missing a couple of small chunks of her lashes, one section of her hair appears to have been cut, and she has a big smudge and several smaller ones on the back of one arm. Vintage Tiffany Taylor Doll Ideal 1973 for Re-root or Parts Up for bid is a Tiffany Taylor Doll with a shaved head. The doll is in Good used vintage condition. There are a few scratches on the body from normal wear. But nothing major. No cracks or broken body parts, legs are tight, arms are pretty good and not too loose. The doll's eyelashes are fully rooted and the scalp turns easily. She has no hair, it has been cut down to the scalp, so this would make an excellent re-root doll or great for body part repairs.
