This is a Hypot II 3565D ac/dc Withstand voltage tester. The last calibration date is 2003 so it may need calibration. I'm not sure how to test every feature of this unit but it was purchased at auction from a working machine shop where it was used regularly. You can see it powers up fine. There is a calibration number carved into the paint on the front as well as a calibration sticker and tech support sticker, but it is in good overall cosmetic condition. So they are both being sold as is or for parts. The encasement is missing some screws that keep it connected to the unit. There are some dents, scratches, scuffs, etc. One of the units is missing a couple buttons. When moving the unit around. You can hear things moving around inside. Upon further inspection, there are metal discs that are loose inside, see picture. I am not sure what they go to, or how to replace them, so I let them be. The Vibrotest is famous as the first battery powered Megohmmeter in the USA and Associated Research are still going strong today. It is in good vintage condition. With scuffs, scratches and marks. The batteries are dead, so we hooked it up to a bench power supply. When the button was pressed, it buzzed and the needle moved.
