Tektronix TDS5054 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope 500 MHz This is a nice. Fully operational oscilloscope. Passes all power on/user initiated self tests. Also passes the signal path compensation routine(SPC) as often as initiated. Bandwidth on all 4 channels measures to well beyond 500 MHz. Minor blemishes are present. All typical for a bench scope properly cared for. The worste blemish is to the left of the blue Tektronix logo on the front panel nameplate.The display is perfect. This one has option 2M(8M Max/2M Ch) 2A(Advanced Analysis) and is at Windows 2000 w/Service Pack 3. This scope does not have the thermal printer or touch screen options(if there is an upside. This does improve the displays appearance) You will want to use at a minimum a mouse with it(included in the top compartment) I like the small form factor keyboards with touch ... morepad built in. All controls function as intended on and on… It’s a nice scope. For comparison. This scope would compete with aTDS3054x of any generation. This scope would have a larger foot print on the bench, a bit more noisy, but the acquisition system on this scope is vastly more powerful, and is analytically presentation wise far superior as well. This oscilloscope uses a windows based motherboard to supervise a separate PowerPC board that manages a separate acquisition board. ALL of the heavy lifting is accomplishes with the PowerPC/Acquisition board(oscilloscope side) So the windows board is not heavily burdened as an oscilloscope and can run unrelated applications. Some scopes of this era were so called closed boxes(windows board/acquisition board only) un-approved third party software would crash them and was not allowed; and the interface during calculations could become halting. Still relevant. This scope was advertised to have a waveform capture rate of 100,000 waveforms per second, the DPO/MDO4000 are said to be 50,000 wfps scopes. And as you can see this scope can do temperature and spectral grading, to visualize the details. It fully supports the old P6

I picked this scope up recently. But it's too high spec for me, and I need to clear out the space for other equipment. A very nice, 5GS/s scope with 500Mhz bandwidth and deep sample memory. Has a USB port on the rear for capturing waveforms, built in printer in good working order. Huge display makes for very comfortable viewing, device is much more compact as compared with the TDS7052 I previously owned. So unlike with newer DSOs, this item does not become e-waste first time it breaks. Tek labels the 2430 as 150MHz/ 100 Megasamples/second. Analog scopes should not be used close to their upper bandwidth limit, digitizing scopes carry the same caveat even more so. It is recommended for use at under 40MHz. Like all digital 24_ scopes, it is fulltime digitizing, meaning there is no fallback analog mode, as 468 combiscope had. Tektronix 453 50 MHz 2 Channel Oscilloscope Working- Exceeds Specs This Tektronix 453 oscilloscope is in good working condition. The pictures show a variety of signals. One picture shows a sine wave from an audio generator on Channel 1 and the scope's own calibrator signal on Channel 2. The pictures showing the terminated cable attached to Channel 1(the left input) show a 67 Mhz signal. A 67 MHz signal with the 5x magnifier turned on, and a 30 MHz signal. The pictures showing the terminated cable attached to Channel 2(the right input) show a 67 Mhz signal, a 67MHz signal with the 5x magnifier turned on, and a 30 MHz signal. I believe this scope exceeds specs because it is rated as a 50 MHz scope but as you see it works fine up to 67 MHz. Manuals and Tektronix catalogs describing this scope including all specifications are available on ... morethe web. and The cosmetic condition is also very good. As shown by the pictures. I included one picture of a circuit board- this scope was made with the highest quality materials. Including gold plated circuit board traces, at a time when American electronic products were the best in the world. In the 1969 Tektronix catalog this scope was listed for over $1900. This is a fairly late production scope. Serial number 28033. I checked and adjusted the power supply but did not run through the calibration procedure in the manual. The issues I noted: The fan motor does make some noise. There is no air filter material on the air intake- if you want to operate it in a dusty environment you should get a small piece of AC filter material. The little black tip is missing from one of the front panel toggle switches as shown in the picture. Will ship with the power cord and a CD with an excellent scan of the correct manual for 453 scopes with serial numbers over 20.000. No front cover, probes, cables, or anything else(such as anything on my cluttered workbench! are included. Sold AS IS. Tektronix Sony 323 Portable Oscilloscope - Working with Manual
Clean. Almost perfect example of this unusual scope. The TIME/DIV knob is partially squashed, but it still works fine as do all other switches and controls. There is no power cord with the scope, so I powered it from a 12V supply for testing. I hooked it up to a function generator, and had no trouble triggering on and displaying a variety of waveforms. The batteries in the internal battery pack are weak, but I was able to get them to take charge enough to run the scope for about 10 minutes. it was running from battery in the first photo) No power cord or probe, but there is a carry strap, a BNC to mini-grabber cable, and the operators manual.
