This meter is Guaranteed to be completely as described or your purchase price will be happily returned. This is a Heath IM-16 that is in excellent operating and cosmetic condition. This meter has been tested on all functions and ranges and works very well. It tested alright/good but when I tried to calibrate this tester, I couldn't get the proper calibration reading. There were three calibration steps to perform but in the very first step, the meter didn't fluctuate as specified in the instructions. I don't know if I was performing the calibration properly as instructed or not. when I turned the pot that was specified in step one of the calibration instructions the needle didn't fluctuate as it was supposed to do. HERE'S A VERY NICE TUBE TESTER AT A BARGAIN PRICE. It does need some knowledgeable TLC however. As you can see this tester is in VG+ to excellent original condition. Case is fine. Roll chart exceptional. All lettering. Knobs, etc. mechanically OK. No loose switches, etc. Inside the unit is very clean and shows no signs of shop abuse, such as smoke or being left on continuously. The mystery is it will test some tubes exactly as you'd expect and some it doesn't! It may be a poor solder joint or a switch contact that I've overlooked. Moreover, I've given it a general cleaning and inspection and still haven't located the intermittent problem. As mentioned the roll chart is smooth and still very white indicating low use. The meter is in fine shape with no signs of abuse and few scratches. The transformer shows no signs ... moreof rust/corrosion and runs very cool and quiet. Heathkit BR-2 Broadcast Band Receiver- Nice! Here's a nice. Clean Heathkit model BR-2 broadcast band receiver. It's transformer operated and also has the optional cabinet that is in very good condition. The Heathkit BR-2 is a classic receiver that was very popular in it's day. And is still considered one of the best of the type- better than the newer models, both tube and transistorized. This one is one of the nicest I've seen and has been part of my personal collection for many years. I'm sitting here this evening listening to it as I'm writing this. The sound is nice and clear with no hum or other noise. The BR-2 has an RCA jack on the rear apron that can be wired as an input for a phonograph. Etc. or wired as a tuner output from the radio. This one was wired as a tuner output, and that function can be selected with ... morethe switch next to the jack. It can be easily re-wired as a phono input by following the instructions in the manual. The radio is complete except for one small"L" bracket that was used to mount the radio in its cabinet. You can see the screw hole in the rear view. The other three brackets are in place. This BR-2 ships with a clean copy of the operating and maintenance portions of the manual. Including the schematic diagram and instructions for converting the rear input function. Only the detailed construction steps have been omitted. They just don't make good radios like this anymore. Here is a nice vintage Heathkit fish finder flasher from 1974. The unit is all solid state with metal case and measures 10 x 7 x 6 inches. I took the unit apart and cleaned the inside. It was pretty clean as it was. I tried it out with two 6 volt batteries and it woked great. The unit is very clean and comes with a 12 foot cord which fits in the front compartment of the flaser as shown in one of the pictures. A great light weight little unit for ice fishing.

Heathkit IG-102 RF Signal Generator Exc Working & Cosmetic Condition
MODEL. FEATURES, CONDITION: Very clean example of the Heathkit Model IG-102 RF Signal Generator will prove to be a valuable instrument to have when aligning radios. Etc where you can switch in the on-board modulation circuit or externally modulate a signal on top of the RF signal. RF sine signal is adjustable from 320 KHz all the way up to 110 MHz in six adjustable steps. Smoothly geared tuning condenser has great stability, and the dial pointer is accurate, closely matching the proper frequency calibrations. Photos of the electronics will show that this unit has seen very light use with no discolored or heat stressed components. To ensure reliability, the old 22uF electrolytics were replaced with new ones rated at 200V. Pots and switches have been properly cleaned and work well; the band selector switch is somewhat stiff, but does engage ... moreat each stop. The odd obsolete connectors that this unit came with were replaced with more modern BNC bulkhead connectors that will allow much more flexibility with today’s test equipment, cables and adapters. The unit has been tested, and the sine waves are clean without distortion, and maintain good amplitude throughout the frequency ranges, switches and pots work as they should. Modulation circuit works as well, and it was interesting to have a radio nearby to listen to the beat note and whistling as the IF and RF frequencies were being matched. Cosmetics are excellent if you can pardon a very minor paint chip on the back panel shown in one photo. No dents in cabinet, front panel graphics look excellent, knobs look factory fresh, and finish is holding up beautifully. Power cord is safe and pliable, ruby jeweled pilot light is bright. All in all, hard to go wrong with the beauty of Heathkit that allows the average guy with a soldering iron to service his own equipment a hundred years from now. HEATHKIT MODEL TC-2P ELECTRONIC TUBE TESTER
One of several models Heathkit offered through the years in kit form. Original knobs. Very good lettering, built-in AC power supply, very good front panel, clear operating meter,original manual and the roll chart is easily read. It has the plate cap attachment, but the wire is frayed. The original test slide switch is hard to move sometimes. Line voltage does not register on the meter, maybe a bad line voltage potentiometer or could be something else. The case is very solid but the vinyl covering is yellowed and has a couple tears. Shown testing a 6AU6A. Had the same readings on my Hickok 6000. Now clearing 40 years of collecting. HEATHKIT IG-72 AUDIO GENERATOR (Same as AG-9A)
This is Heathkit IG-72 Audio Generator. It is in mostly-working condition. But it is unstable at some frequencies. It could use some more cleaning of the switches and controls and probably a replacement of some of the electrolytic capacitors, particularly C8, the feedback capacitor. The fact that it works as it does shows that the tubes are in good condition. It is in very good cosmetic condition. The only defect being a ding in the back and bottom of the case. There is no manual. But copies are available on-line, or I can e-mail the successful bidder a copy on request. Note that the IG-72 is just a cosmetic re-working of the AG-9A. The two are electrically identical. Untitled Document When it comes to tube checkers Heathkit has to be one of the go to names. I have tested this with a number of tubes. Including 12AX7s and it reads correct every time. That being said this little unit can do a lot of tests on a lot of different tubes and I have only tried a couple. The good news is that mechanically everything appears to be in good shape. When testing the switches and knobs all of the detents are crisp. The only obvious flaw is that two of the knobs on the switches on the bottom are missing and there are cracks in the insulation of the tube wire. The scrolling tube chart is complete and readable but there is some yellowing of the paper. Fortunately, because this unit was so iconic there is a lot of info available on them including schematics. They were pulled out of a dusty old house so- they do smell old and dusty but for the most part kept in good condition. Manual-The edges of the pages are beginning to yellow. Some pen marking(check marks/minor writing) from where owner was checking off parts etc. Page 15/16 has tape at the top and bottom of the page. In addition there is a"copied" page 16 in addition to the original in the book and that copy is what is taped. I noticed one staple puncture. This is a fully functioning machine. He powered it on and showed me that it was fully working. He did say that there was a little noise in the Trigger Level Stability knob. Which only needs occasional adjustments for unusual waveform displays. Note: This unit needs to be plugged into an isolation transformer when working on newer televisions. Or newer electronics. Heathkit IG-37 Tube FM Stereo Generator, completely original, with manual.
OK. So I am selling some things I love, but that I don't use. This is a hard one to sell because it's so cool, but she really it has to go. This is an original condition Heathkit IG-37 FM Stereo Generator. For 220-240V with Australian plug, in working condition, which when I just tested it a moment ago, produces various audio signals through its composite output. These signals are correct when referenced to the control knob positions, output level varied nicely, all tubes have a healthy glow and the 19kHz pilot was spot on. I have not gone so far as to calibrate this old girl and she will no doubt need a careful once-over by her new owner. I will include a copy of the instructions for calibration and use. Bear in mind that all the components are original. This is wonderful from an originality perspective and that fact that it still ... moreworks. Even with these old parts is really good news. It's bad in the sense that I work on old gear and parts do wear out, especially capacitors. Luckily this old girl only has a couple of the type that do wear out, but just bear this in mind- if I were keeping her I might replace a couple of capacitors just to be safe. This really is a lovely old instrument. Very useful for calibrating old radios and new ones. They are now quite sort after by collectors and tube/valve radio guys and they were a very well designed kit in the first place. Overall condition is very good. There are a few scratches of course and somebody has soldered a ground to the outside of the composite output, but this doesn't affect operation and is not immediately obvious. You can see it in the last pic- I would just lightly dress this with a file and you will again be able to screw on the connector if desired. Personally, I would remove those and add BNC connectors. The top and bottom panels are especially good, with almost all the paint intact. Front and back panels are also pretty good, with one or two scratches on the front. For auction is a Heathkit IG-4505 Oscilloscope Calibrator. Allows calibration of voltage and frequency of scopes. Powers up and tested the voltage output with a cheap RS DMM. All of the settings on the voltage terminals showed a little above the half of the indicated value. As the ranges are peak-to-peak and the DMM is RMS(more or less) that seems appropriate and also matches the results of testing a second unit I have. The frequency BNC cable also shows low-level signals. My scope is packed up somewhere so I can't say what the wave form looks like. My guess is OK but I am selling as-is like all vintage electronics. Here for your consideration is a Nice Heathkit MOHICAN GC-1A Portable Communication Receiver with the XP-2 110vac Power Pack. This set sold as a kit from 1963 to 1968 for $89.50. And the XP-2 power supply kit was another $9.95. This 13“ x 11“ x 7‘ set covers 550KHz to 32MHz on 5 bands using it’s built in 50“ whip antenna or external antenna. My tech friend Tom replaced the Filter Capacitors, and this set works great. All the features appear to work well including the tuning meter and dial lights. This set is in excellent physical condition with just one spot on the top. I don’t believe it was used much. This set will bring you hours of enjoyment!
