This 1915 PPIE item is from the estate grouping of Walter S. Pierce. Who was a prominent member of San Francisco society, proprietor of the Walter S. Pierce Piano Company in San Francisco. He was a musician and President of the Idaho Commission to the Expo. This is a very rare personalized invitation to Mr. Mrs. W. S. Pierce to the Texas Day Celebration at the Texas Building on July 20. 1915. These are very scarce and this is the only one I have ever seen. Nice embossed graphic of the Lone Star at the top. Measures 7" X 5 3/8" on heavy stock. This shows Walter's prominance, not only in San Francisco, but also across the United States.
