The basic principal of this GPS surveying system is that the bearing and distance between three or more points can be precisely calculated by simultaneously recording measurements using three Locus receiver units. One over each point. Often two of the receivers are located over two separate“known” points and the third receiver is moved about on a survey pole as a“rover” unit on new points to be acquired. The office“Locus processor software”is installed in your PC and then the receivers are individually downloaded through an infrared to nine pin connector into your PC. Connected the Trimble TDC1 to an electric source and when turned on it showed information beyond my comprehension. Inside the yellow storage case for TDC1 I found(after photos) a metal shield. 5 x 7" and on back is stamped; 21219 A PMP40 94. I'm assuming this set-up is dated around 1994. Charged the battery that is attached to the GPS Pathfinder Basic + and when put back in place, turned the machine on and it likewise showed information with same comprehension. This is a setup that I know nothing about, but parts and pieces doesn't look to have ever been used. Batteries in one of the extra battery packs will need to be charged or replaced. This is a pair of receivers only. One looks to be just for parts. Screen looks like it has had water, and the connections in the back look corroded. The other unit looks great, screen needs a cleaning but connections look good.
