Topcon external power cable for 9000 series Total Station
This is a Topcon external power cable for the 9000 series robotic total station. This allows you to connect your 9000 series robot to a 12v car or motorcycle battery. Very useful on cold winter days when the temperature is below zero and your Liion on-board batteries pack up after 45 minutes! The cable originally came with a Topcon plug(the same plug that is used to charge up Hiper GPS recievers) on the battery end but I cut this off and wired up two crocodile clips to allow connection to the spade connectors of a 12v battery. This cable cost me £90 + VAT! when I bought it new(I couldn't find anything cheaper that had the three pin socket on the end) It may also fit other Topcon total stations. But I cant be sure of this so I have included a photo of the socket.

When you look jnside one of these instruments. They look like new. The seals were so good, I never see any moisture. The ... morelubrication looks like new(whether it has been serviced or not) and the machining was so good. There is little if any wear on the metal parts and the EDM's have an excellent record of reliability. I still do a few jobs a year and I always keep one of these excellent Japanese Total Stations around for my own work. The difference between the Topcon GTS-303 and the GTS-303D is the 303 has vertical compensation while the 303D had horizontal and vertical compensation. Of the two. The vertical compensation is much more important than the horizontal. The 303 is one of my favorite total stations for construction work. This instrument is from a closed construction firm and it was in working order when they had it. The unit appear to be in good cosmetic condition. It powers up and displays(see pictures) It has 2 additional batteries and they all have charge plus the one attached to it to a total of 3 batteries. Unfortunately the charger was misplaced so we dont have the charger and im not sure how much life is left on these batteries. The lenses appear to be clean but may need some clean up. Up for auction is used Topcon GTS-2 Semi Total Survey Station. I have powered this item up using one of the two batteries included. I do not know the life of the batteries so I can not guarantee them. This comes with everything shown in the pictures plus the battery charger/ac adapter& yellow case. There are some signs of wear such as surface scratches. Sticker residue and some engraving on the station.
