Up for sale is a Wild/Leica T2 Theodolite with GAK1 Gyro and accessories. I would like to try offering this as a system before I piece it out. The T2 is a later model with a S/N of 3180xx. Comes as shown with GV01 and GV02 lenses and a couple of unmarked accessories. User’s manual is also included along with transit case. The T2 has some adhesive residue and one cracked knob(shown in picture) The GAK1 Gyro comes in its own transit case along with manual and unmarked lens. Adjustment tool and cover. The GAK1 is in excellent condition with some minor adhesive residue. Both these units came out of a local high tech company and look like they weren't used much. Kern Swiss K1-A Theodolite with Case & Center Tripod Post
Kern model K1-A Theodolite. I work at an engineering firm. And we have had this unit in storage for a long time. There are some water spots on the front glass element(shown in photo) I did take a photo looking through the eyepiece with a cell phone(showing power lines and distant mountain) The water spots do not seem to adversely effect image quality. Another photo shows the mountain which can be seen in the photo taken through the eyepiece with my phone to illustrate zoom scale. I really do not know how this piece of equipment works. But i t appears to be in good working order. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like me to test anything. Comes inside of a metal case with leather carrying strap and metal latches. The metal case fits inside of the padded transport case. Also included is the center pole WITHOUT the tripod ... morelegs. The center pole does attach to the bottom of the unit and has integrated bubble level and elevation markings- But it is meant to fit in a set of tripod legs. Which I do not have. Troughton & Simms Transit Theodolite #831 All Brass w/ Box
This transit or theodolite is in excellent condition with no apparent damage. It is marked as shown in the picture with#381 in at least 2 places. The viewer looks clean and clear. And all the glass level bubbles are clean and damage free. All the knobs turn freely and the spring loaded holders work smoothly. Most parts seem to have a varnish or finish on them but no black japaned parts like the Stanley. As I look in the box there are 3 holes that were holding something that are empty, one by the cleaning brush and eye piece, and 2 by the plumb bob. The paper that was glued to the inside of the lid is all but gone. The mahogany box is still very solid with good latches and hinges. It also has 2 brass fittings for a carrying strap. It weighs about 30 lbs. I intend to pack the box with padding and put it in a Styrofoam lined box marked fragile, ... moredelicate instrument. That should suffice. Selling at no reserve. This is most likely from the mid to late 60's, very heavy and well built scope. There are no manuals, only what you see in the pictures. If you have not used one of these I recommend that you read up on how to, but for basic level it is pretty easy. This is not brand new out of the box, but has been well cared for over the years. Great surveying transit for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up with 4 others at a high end catalog sale in PA(the Gurley. Starrett, E D& Co, and Warren-Knight to be sold separately and listed over the next few days on eBay) Would make a great gift or keep the item for yourself! The transit did not come with a compass or a tripod. The serial number on the transit is 23207. That number would make the transit as being produced in the 1920s from what I researched online. Looks most similar to a model ML-47 from what I researched online. But I have never had one of these before. So, you be the judge before buying it. The number on the wood plate the ... morebottom of the weather balloon transit fits into has No. 15879 on it. Not sure if that number is supposed to match with the serial on the transit or not. Not sure if the transit is all there. What you see is what you get. Per an eBayer that knows more than I. Electrical switch and wiring on this transit is used to light up the rings at night. This type of transit was used by the US Meteorological society until the 1940s, when a Warren-Knight transit started to be utilized. Let me know if any of you disagree with me out there as to the type of transit this is and what it was used for. Lenses seem to still be intact on the transit. I see no cracking or blistering. There certainly is minor scratching of the lenses from use over time. The case is still in good condition and has the Buff& Buff metal tag on the outside top. The locking latches are still there as are the metal carrying handles on the side. The case has"NOL 13051" painted on it and that is also painted on one part of the transit. I could not find the name of the manufacturer anywhere on this device. The model number is SET-10. S1230 on small brass plate under the telescope. It's missing the battery charger and case. It dose come with the plum on a string. I don't know if it is broken or not. When I first turned it on it beeped and displayed an"err 04" The battery was week and did not stay on long. Now it may beep but then turns off right away. As I said I don't have the charger. It probably came with multiple batteries so you could keep going in the field. Other then that it seems to be in good condition. The vertical and horizontal locks work. The base mount is included(not the tri-pod. Wild New Style T2 Survey Theodolite, Case + Xtras
This is a nice new style Wild survey theodolite. Looks to be in good working condition however I have no way to check if it is in adjustment. This model has the automatic vertical indexing so no split bubble on the side when turning vertical angles. It comes with what you see in the photos which includes the light kit and instruction manual(which are most often missing) nothing else no tripod or handle. Could probably use to be cleaned and adjusted before being put back in service, motions, optics and micrometer scales look good with 1 exception, it has a noticable glob of grease on a spot on the micrometer that it would be nice to clean off. Gorgeous Piece of brass. A lot of different attachable and detachable pieces, seem like whole thing can be taken apart down to the last screw etc. Amazingly well made and well built and great quality brass design.Also for some reason my camera is not showing how shinny the metal is, instead its showing every speck of dust on it.I don't know how to whip dust without damaging it, so don't want to risk that so I;m just posting it how it is. Large Late 1800's Hildebrand Frieberg Survey Theodolite w/Filar Micrometers
This is quite a nice very high quality made old theodolite made by Max Hildebrand of Frieberg probably in the late 1800's. All is well with it. Optics are good, motions turn well, in fact the only thing I can see wrong with it is the little sunshades for the vertical vernier need to be replaced. It has microscopes with filar micrometers on the horizontal motion, and built in magnifies on the vertical arc. The scope on this instrument is 16 inches long and the plate is 6 inches diameter. Comes only with what you see in the photos. Unfortunately there is no box or tripod with this, somehow they were separated over the years. This theodolite might have been used at a college or large company since it is numbered 19 and says Vorne which might be a clue as to where is was used? Collectables, Paintings, Fine Ceramics and Glass CASED HILGER& WATTS MINERS MICROPTIC TRANSIT DIAL THEODOLITE(1915-30) serial no. 91102 This Hilger and Watts theodolite was used for mine surveying. It has been well used and all parts move freely. As it has been well greased so it is in need of a clean up. The original metal case is showing signs of rust but is still a strong secure housing. The manufacture and serial number is very worn. However, it can be seen as Hilger& Watts with the serial number 91102. The scales on the bubble levels can be seen through the lenses. One glass. Which lets light into the instrument to read the V& H numbers, has a crack, but this is of no consequence. The lenses are undamaged and the crossed hairs are intact. Focuses clearly. Some wear to the paintwork and metal. Weight 3.175kg Case ... moreweight 2.87kg Label shows repaired and adjusted in 1986 The theodolite can be clamped into the metal top of the wooden tripod. This enables the theodolite to turn 360 degrees. The bubble level is intact. The metal top can be removed from the tripod legs if the wooden legs of the tripod are not required. The wooden legs of the tripod are worn and the spikes rusted and in need of TLC. Adequate for display. Tripod is included in price if required. Serious bidders only.
