Here is a Spectra Precision Laserplane 500C self-leveling rotary laser level. I have gone over it thoroughly. Inspecting and cleaning, etc. Brand-new batteries(4 D-cells) are installed. Has the standard 5/8" threaded hole in the base or can sit on a flat surface. This model is rated to level plus or minus 1/16" at 100 feet and can be field-calibrated to this standard using x and y leveling screws, which I have successfully done. You roughly level the unit using the round bubble indicator and it self-levels from there, stopping if it is disturbed to where it can't self-level so you don't get a false beam. The laser is not easy to see by eye but is easily detected by the included Topcon LS-70C receiver. All functions are working on the receiver plus a new battery as well. We got this from the shop at a very technically elaborate and well maintained candle factory. It looks to be in very nice shape. They probably used it to install piping and equipment in the plant. I don’t think it spent any time outdoors. I charged the Nimh batteries overnight and tested it in the shop. The shots of the beam trace were made without a flash and show a little shaking in my hand. Picture 4 shows it in the small angle mode and picture 5 is of the beam stopped in one place. The literature claims that the Nimh will shoot for 20 hours and Alkaline will give 40 hours of lasing. You will need a 9 volt for the laser sensor and 2 AA cells for the remote. There is a tripod and a mount for attachment to existing hard spots as well as the remote control. It powers up and was in use until recently, but I am not sure of the calibration.
