Up for sale is a 1987 vintage Euro Disneyland hard hat. The hat was made in Canada and has a certified model# of Z89.1-1986. It has adjustable strap to fit most. Although there is moderate wear and signs of this hat having had regular use. As well as a name written on the back of the helmet in marker pen. I am not sure if the hard hat belonged to an employee or if it was a souvenir. My speculation is that it belonged to an employee, making it more rare than your normal souvenir or collector's item. I purchased this at an estate auction and was told the gentleman was almost 90 years old so I am thinking maybe around the 1930's or so. It is a Skullgard type fiberglass helmet, with a really nice bakelite Light holder on the front which says's Mine Safety Appliance Co PGA PA. This helmet has the original string around the outside which is in great shape the string is finished with a leather strap at the end which is a little crunchy ... morefrom age but still complete, it has all rivets. The helmet has an unusual cloth brim which I couldnt find on any other mining helmets it is definitely original to it. The inside lining straps and such have wear and there are some scratch's and such on the fiberglass but no cracks or anything like that. There was a gold gilt stamping on the inside brim which I can only read MSA as that has faded over time. Not sure of value so you can ignore my buy it now and just send me a reasonable offer if you like it. Vintage TNT Ski-Doo Snowmobile Safety Helmet In Orginal Box Canada
It's unusual to find a vintage helmet in this nice a shape with an original box. Plastic and tags. We found this during a recent estate liquidation. The helmet from a cosmetic point of view appears to be in excellent conditon and seen little use. Other than a couple of small scuff marks we don't see any damage or serious wear to this helmet. All the original tags are in or on the helmet and. In addition, one of the original owners put their name and plate number inside the helmet under the ear protector, as shown. This could easily be removed should one wish. The only real flaw we noted was that the inside of the helmet can be rotated somewhat inside the helmet so we think that probably the adhesive that at one time held the foam in place may have dried out. Easy fix with some new adhesive should one wish. The helmet has an"S" ... moreunder one earflap which should indicate the size and I was able to fit it on my man's medium size head with little difficulty. This size seems to conflict with the size on the box, which indicates a Junior size helmet in Extra Large size. It would be our quess that this helmet did not come in this box originally; however, this is the box you will receive. The box appears to have everything it originally came with including plastic helmet bag and light reflective sticker. Some light damage to box on bottom; otherwise in good condition.
