This is a good working unit. I bought it last summer and laid out several houses. Conducted a few topographic surveys, and countless lot surveys with it. I used my Ranger data collector with this unit. The data collector pictured, is included in this auction. It works with the total station, and has robotics installed in it. The recon came with the unit when I purchased it, and it is set up to work with it. Included are two satel radios, and their corresponding batteries and chargers. One of the radio batteries drains faster than the other, but will work 6 hours or so on a charge. All of the cables, RCII, and prism come with this unit. This total station has three batteries, one was re-celled last summer, and the other two hold a charge, and work most of the day. previous owner had one re-celled the year prior) The guy I bought it from was ... moreretiring. The components are: Zeiss S20 Total Station in absolute PRISTINE condition; Robotic) Pole/Target; Husky Data Collector FS3; Zeiss Radio for Robotic use; Batteries and chargers; various literature. You can see from the photos. The Total Station can be used robotically OR two man conventionally. To operate robotically- it needs the memory card inserted into the Instrument as shown in photo#5. UNFORTUNATELY the memory card has"run out" of power so the software(which is TDS) which operates robotically has been lost from it so that it does not load into the system. To fix this requires a new memory card plus a copy of the original software. This must be done by the buyer. The radio and instrument ... morebatteries have been recelled less than 2 years ago. The main"robotic" battery for the instrument- which allows all-day operation. Is brand new as of today. The instrument was tested and operated robotically with the peripherals about two and a half years ago.since then the memory card lost power within itself and thus lost the program. The Total Station retains within itself- its own on-board memory- the manufacturer's software by Zeiss. All units power up and charge up. Because they have not been used- I cannot say they will have good battery charge- EXCEPT for the Total Station itself which has the Brand New 12 volt battery. A buyer has the choice of resetting the TDS software with a new memory card.
