Grabbing his trusty medical kit such as this and then going out and jumping into his buggy to be on his way to make another house call! This set was found with the old style paper label inside the case which says it belonged to Dr. Remick C. Eckhardt- Homeopathic Physician- Brooklyn. N.Y. Donated by Mary Jean Howard(Daughter) Must have originally been an item on display at a local museum somewhere that probably had to shut its doors due to a shameful loss of funding- I bought it several years ago at a local flea market. Fine quality stitched tooled leather case with snap closure measures about 7-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches x 1-1/2 inches. This is a mixed set containing some tin metal ... morescrew cap vials and some corked type vials. All are amber colored. Most still have some to all contents present. Many of these are from HK Mulford. Condition is absolutely excellent. There is no box, and the model is missing the square smoke jack that sits above the tracks. This is not a big a deal since there are other companies that supply this as a aftermarket detail that could be adapted(or scratch build one yourself) One laser cut section of windows looks to have damaged adhesive backing on the window frames, but they are most certainly salvageable with a little effort. This is a vintage HO Plasticville Bachmann school house kit SC-4 with white roof from the 1950s. The school kit is not glued and it doesn't need glue. In excellent condition, the lights are missing the bulbs but not noticeable. The original box is in great condition with some aging. Pleasant addition to the train layout scenery. I'm a collector but I don't consider myself an expert. I have photographed this to the best of my ability as I tried to be the bidders eyes. I built this and added the stairs and stove from I don't recall what the stove came from. the stairs are cut styrene, Plasti-card) The door is removable, was hinged at one time. The shed roof, 2nd floor and roof are magnetized and removable. Photos show the magnets. I based this on styrene, and the stone walkway is also styrene. the texture is my own, I made it with joint compound, and some base material. The box and miniature are not included. That is a GW model. And is heroic 28mm scale for size reference. Size is roughly looking at the first photo. 9in. left to right, by 6in. front to back, by 9-1/2in. high to the high point. There is no better kit available for this style ... morebuilding. I have seen them all and this one offers the most flexibility, if you want realistic looking scenery, these kits are the best.
