This listing is for a vintage“Snap Shots” scrap book that is a souvenir from Wisconsin Dells probably from the 1950's-60's. The colorful hardboard cover has a brightly colored scene of an Indian paddling his birch bark canoe on a lake or river with towering pine trees in the background. The scene is framed with a brown zigzag and triangle border and the book is fastened in three places with a red plastic( tie. Two opposite corners are missing and the top right corner has a crease/fold mark(see photos# 1& 2) The photo album appears to have been used in the first eighteen pages as there are some light impressions and scuffs(see example in photo# 5) The remaining seven pages appear untouched. Book measures about 6-1/2" x 9-1/2" and has 25 black construction paper pages and the back cover is a deeply- textured faux leather ... morein a chocolate brown. It is in very good condition with just a little crazing on the colored portions of the print from age but it is clean and seems to have led a gentle life. It is true cabin fare could still be used as a photo album or the cover could be framed(see photo# 3) and the back used as a matt for a decorative print of the era. Early 1960s offering, scaled for fashion dolls ranging from Ginny to Little Miss Revlon to Barbie. I have photographed the dollhouse with a 10" Madame Alexander Cissette doll to give you an idea of scale. I've tried to do a little research on this cabin set and it appears that, although quite a bit of furniture is shown on the box front, it was actually sold with only some very basic pieces and then additional items could be ordered. You could also order different pieces to change the size of the house. The height is 20" ... moreand the width is 23" but the depth can vary. The standard size indicated on the box is about 14" but this particular set makes a house that is 19" deep. PLUS, there are two additional floor pieces that can actually be put together to make a kind of deck unit if you want to use them that way. The Log Cabin is made of blue glass. The roof comes off the top. This is the lid for the container. It's use may be for sugar or to hold candy, it's large enough. The size is 4-1/2" tall with the roof on. Off it is 2-3/4" tall,5-1/2" long and 4" wide. There's a edge around the bottom of the roof so it can rest down inside the Cabin. It is very detailed. There are ridges around it for the logs. It has windows and doors in the front. Also there are places around the roof that are smooth. This looks like these were meant to be snow. Around the sides and the front swags of garland hangs down. Looking at it more close with ... morethe detailing. The Log Cabin looks like a Log Court House or Bank. The condition is very very good. I see two small shallow chips on the underside roofs rim. No other chips. Cracks, or repairs. There are some trapped air bubbles in the glass. I don't see any makers marks. I was doing some research on the piece before I started this listing. I have a book that shows a blue glass Candy Container made by L E Smith in the 1920's. The one shown in the book is much smaller. They are hefty quality Glasses that were made by LIBBEY to be part of the Tienshan FolkCraft line of dinnerware and accessories that wears the charming CABIN IN THE SNOW pattern. The Glasses you see in the pictures are the Glasses you'll receive! They are all in EXCELLENT. MINTY condition and appear to have had little use. NO CHIPS. NO CRACKS, NO CLOUDINESS, NO FADING, NO HARD WATER MARKS. There are a few little signs of use here and there but none that take away from their appearance or quality. The Blue Spongework and the Designs are all intact and vibrant in color. Included are: One(1) ~ Tumbler Cooler Glass. It stands about 6-3/8" tall and measures about 2-7/8" in diameter across the top and tapers ... moredown to about 2-1/2" in diameter across the bottom. It holds about 16 ozs. or so.
