Early antique quilt.It is a log cabin.wonderful turkey red center squares surrounded by small scale calicos and what appears as a brown looks like it was purple known as fugitive purple(check out the close-up pictures)so many wonderful fabrics in this. A true textile gem. I wish I could take a picture of every fabric so you could see them all. I think it was constructed using the foundation piecing method and there are some small ties that you have to look hard for. This is not hand quilted. I adore the backing fabric this quilter used as well. It was made for a four poster bed so you can see the cut outs at the bottom. Binding is a solid red an is not frayed or weak. There are no weak fabrics or seam splits or holes of any kind. Novelty Log Cabin Jewelry Box
This jewelry box was custom made for my mother in 1985 in the mountains of north Georgia. The person who made it was a master craftsman. The jewelry box is something that I have kept for sentimental reasons. But now I am ready to let go of it. The jewelry box is 10 inches x 14 inches. And is 11.75 inches tall at the highest point. The three lined drawers are 8.5 x 3.75 x 1.5 inches. The box has a large space on the left side of the drawers for boxed jewelry or other items. This box is not for children. It is constructed well. But must be handled with care. A part of the roof fell off when a grandchild lifted it by the roof. The piece has been super glued back in place. The repaired piece is pictured. Vinatge Fenton Custard Glass Bell, Hand Painted Cabin Scene Signed
For sale is a vintage Fenton Custard Glass Bell with a hand painted cabin and forest scene. The bell stands 7 inches tall and opening of 3 3/4 inches. The original"authentic Fenton handmade" sticker and the hand painted by Fenton sticker are both still attached to the bell. The inside of the bell is signed by the artist. However I can not make out the name. There is one flaw on the inside of the bell, which is a cut(not a crack) in the glass of approx. 3/8 inch. See photo#10. The bell is in very good condition with no cracks, chips, or blemished other than the one mentioned. Please review the photos for a visual description of the bell and ask any questions you may have.
