I've had a zillion DC power supplies at my tech bench. And believe me, some work better than others. I wanted one that I could count on but that I could afford. I had an opportunity to acquire several of these fine instruments when a local university redid its engineering lab. For sure I am keeping one of these for my own use, but this one is extra. Tektronix is. Of course, a world-class manufacturer of test equipment and this power supply is no exception. I tested every function and it works beautifully. Put it in the"parallel" position and the two 20 V/ 5 amp supplies are internally placed in parallel to deliver up to 20 V/ 1 amp. The variable dc offset voltage(±10V) is adjustable via mainframe controls, allowing offset of any dc component within the range of the control. Although primarily designed for the 11A52 and 11A71 plug-ins, the P6204 may be used with the other 11000-Series plug-ins.
