50s Vintage Cat's Paw Shoe Repair Light Up Advertising clock pre double bubble
14' diameter Cat Tex clock made by Cincinnati Advertising Products. This is the same company that would later produce the famous"double bubble" style advertising clocks. The clock is in excellent condition. There are two flakes on the edge of the front dome which I have pictured in close-up photos. These are not noticible when the clock is hanging. These are only on the front face of the dome. They were caused when someone(not me) tried to take the dome out of the metal ring without bending the retainer tabs far enough out of the way. Aside from these two small flakes there are no chips or cracks. All of the graphics are perfect. I have taken the clock apart and carefully cleaned it inside and out. It has been completely and properly rewired and a new cord has been installed. The original motor was not working so I have replaced ... moreit with a new one. It was mounted to the original brass works which are still in fine shape. Incredibly the company that made the clock movement(synchron) is still in business and still making the same motor. After cleaning the dome and ring I replaced all of the rubber pads that go under the retainer tabs to hold it in the ring. 5" DOUBLE BUBBLE GLASS FLOAT BALL BUOY BOUY (#124)
This is a 5" tall glass fishing float ball. Kinda oblong! This float has a double bubble in it. This happens when the sealing button glass is to hot and sinks into the glass float creating a little float inside the bigger float. The bubble in 1+1/8 of an inch across. We have filled the bubble with green water so you can see the bubble better! It has no marking on the sealing button for it has all sunken into the float. The glass has some scratches from sand abbrasion! This float comes from our personel collection. No cracks or chips on the float itself! The sealing button has no chips to its edge. There are some very minor scratches and scuffs from use. This is a very neat float! It would be a great addition to a collection of floats or maritime items! We accept Paypal. The inner convex bubble glass features the words A& W ROOT BEER in brown lettering against an orange background. A white colored rim circles the outer convex bubble glass with the numbers- 12.3,6,9. The other numbers are represented by the letters A&W in a brown circle. The clock measures 15” runs. Keeps time and is quiet in an upright position. There are no cracks or breaks on either glass. But not bad. Clock is 15" in diameter and the cord is 90" or 7 1/2 feet long. 15" RND HOOD ICE CREAM DOUBLE BUBBLE STYLE GLASS LIGHTUP CLOCK This HOOD ICE CREAM style clock is in the same design as of a double bubble advertising clocks. The inner convex bubble glass features a picture of a cow with HOOD'S ICE CREAM in the red rim. A white colored rim circles the outer convex bubble glass with black number. The clock measures 15” runs. Keeps time and is quiet in an upright position. There are no cracks or breaks on either glass. The hour and minute hands are black and the second hand is red.
