A Very unique Mechanical Bank. Very heavy cast i ron. Right arm mo ves freely with coin placed in her right hand and lever on back is pushed down she raises her hand to mouth and swallows the coin as her tongue rolls back and eyes roll up in head. Has a star on front chest. Back says Penny Pineapple Hawaii. Missing bottom plate so coin fall to table. Not sure of the age- Have seen other stating that it was made to celebrate Hawaii 50th year of state hold. BUT- this is made of very thick cast iron that is not nor mally done in reproducti ons. The top of the tree trunk raises up a Squirrel pops up and deposits the coin into the wolfs mouth.The bank is held together with a straight headed screw. The bottom of the bank is embossed"PAT.7.23.1883 HUBLEY" The coin cover is intact. The bank is 7 1/4 inches tall and 3 inches by 7 inches at the base.The bank is in working condition. This auction is for a"Frog and Goat" mechanical bank. It works by pushing down on the lever on the end and that releases the goat to buck the man on his back forward. The coin the man is holding drops forward into the frog's mouth to the bottom of the bank. The bottom is marked"Pat. Dec. 22 Hubley 1906" It does have the metal slot cover on the bottom. Original Antique Cast Iron Mechanical Kyser & Rex Monkey Organ Bank Coin Op Toy
Original cast iron mechanical"Organ Bank" by Kyser and Rex. Place a coin on the monkey's plate and turn the crank. He deposits coin, tips his hat, and a bell rings! Metal rods holding monkey in place are replaced. He moves around a little bit, but he is secure. The wire linking the crank to the monkey's arms is replaced. It's working well. However it's possible it may come unhooked from the monkey's arms and would need to be reattached. It's a very simple mechanism and is easy to fix. The bank is in great shape and is all original accept for what's mentioned above. It has the original coin trap. It is missing the key, but the lock can be picked quite easily. I have. For sale, an early 20th century(probably from the early 40's) commercial electro-mechanical coin sorter/ counter. This coin machine was manufactured in Brooklyn, NY by the Standard-Johnson Co. Inc. and sorts pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and half-dollars in a rotating hopper and sorts, counts and feeds the coins into separate cotainers. All parts seems to be here and work. Entirely made of steel- this counter is solidy mounted on a stand with wheels and stands about 4 1/2 to 5 feet high. Considering it's age, it is in wonderful condition. Cash and carry only. Monkey Bank This is a really clever vintage Monkey Bank. It is cast iron and enamel. Painted with green, gold, brown, red(monkey's hat) blue and orange. The letters and base are colored gold. You can place a coin into the monkey's mouth and press the lever. Catapulting the monkey with the coin to the man holding the box. The coin will slip inside and continue down to the bottom of the bank(the bottom cover is missing- see the picture) Measurements: 7.5" long by 2.5" wide by almost 7" tall. This monkey bank is in a very good condition. The spring is working very smooth. There is some wear to the enamel on the very bottom(you have to hold it upside down to see it) And on monkey's sleeve. I have up for sale a very nice vintage original circa 1950s Coin Launch Mercury Rocket Ship Mechanical Coin Bank- made by Duro Pattern& Mold Co Detroit. Michigan. The bank is in Extremely Nice Shape- No Damages and wear is very light. It retains the original bottom trap but there is no key- a key for this would be quite easy to find on ebay just in case you would want one. The decals have fallen off over time or were removed by the original owner. It measures approx 8-1/4" long and the color is a very light bluish silver. It works as it should- the spring sets and when you depress the rocket man with the little red hat- it shoots the coin into the slot straight up to the front. Thank you for looking into our auction of a CAST IRON COIN DEPOSIT MECHANICAL BANK VINTAGE 1910/ 1920. This is a used bank that once belonged to my father. That is why I am listing its vintage as 1910/ 1920. He showed it to me a number of times when I was a kid, and he told me you had to have the combination to open it, but he would never give me the combination or tell me how it works. Fortunately, it is open, so we don't need the combination to get the door open. There is a little slide on the top, that you put your coins into to drop them down into the bank. We have cleaned it up a little so that you can see the fancy decorations on it: horse heads, grape clusters, leaves, etc. The bank measures approximately 4-1/2inches high, 3 inches wide, and 3 inches deep, including the knob for the combination. It is marked Tin Treasures on the side. I know there are several banks like this on the market, some have plastic plugs and are not as old. The lithography on this bright and unfaded. The roof sets a little crooked, but condtion is very good. I see some little scratches near the top bumblebee on the front. Photos show this as best as I can. The original key is still on the back and the original rubber band to place the coin in is still intact. The bank stands just under 6 inches tall. Up for auction is this Cast Iron Hubley Acrobat Bank. This piece is 7 1/4" tall and 7 3/8" long. Each long side reads Acrobat. The two short sides read Bank. You put your coin on the white spot and then push the lever. The acrobat kicks the coin in to the hole and does a handstand. The bottom is marked Pat. 6,17,1882 HUBLEY.
