Tessar 1:4.5 F 13.5 cm Carl Zeiss Jena #2548734 Camera Lens
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This lens I've had stored for several years and does have a few issues. But shutter seems to be working and I see no scratches on the glass. Setting the F stops goes past F4.5 then stops between F16& F22. Some type of misalignment? The iris does work smoothly though. But I'm just not sure of the accuracy of the F stop scale. There is a small screw missing on the front. But I think it's only used to attach the"F. Decker Muchen" name plate. The other screw holds the name plate on fine. The shutter seems OK but I do not know how accurate the shutter speeds are as I have no way of actually testing them. I did notice. However, that while setting the faster shutter speeds, 50- 100- 200, it gets harder and the dial won't go past the middle of 100 and 200. ie. won't ... morego all the way to 200 speed at least looking at the dial. I'm assuming this lens could use a good servicing to perhaps free things up a bit. I see no scratches on the glass of this lens. Minor wear from age. But I see no major scratching or dents on the body of the lens. Please check out photos carefully! I used this lens for only a few years and took some great photos with it. This is a beautiful MINT condition Aus Jena(Carl Zeiss) Nobilem 8x56 Binocular. Collimation is pin point perfect and looking down the barrels the opposite way. They are CRYSTAL CLEAR. The image produced during the day is very natural and easy on the eyes, during the evening hours the massive 56mm objectives"draw" the light in from dark and shadow areas of a scene even at dusk/dawn and night. The Zeiss glass on this binocular is amazing and the coatings sparkle. It oozes resolution and sharpness even to the extreme edges of the field, it is also very well balanced and easy to hold for extended use. The unit has been designed in a way that doesn't allow moisture or dust to enter by special sealing methods used during production.The focus is smooth and accurate and the diopter adjustment is perfect in function and form. Rare Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar f=16.5cm 1:2.7 Barrel Lens You are bidding on a spectacular Massive Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar f=16.5cm 1:2.7 Barrel Lens! The glass elements are in good condition with only minor. Insignificant cleaning scratches on the front element that can only be seen under magnification. There is a small amount of internal spotting. The front element measures 65mm across and the rear element has 56mm of exposed glass! The aperture blades move smoothly with a trace of oil on the blades. The focal adjustment ring moves well but is missing the small set screw, see third picture) that locks it in place so when loosened, it spins freely. You will need to replace this screw. The number on the lens is 700865 which I believe dates it to 1926. The barrel at it's widest point is approximately 82mm. The inside diameter at the rear of ... morethe lens is approximately 40mm.
