They have the original brown leather case in good condition but shows slight wear on the hinge however the case strap and lanyard have been replaced and appear to be new. The serial number is 6776377 which indicates date of production as 1987/ 88 in Jena East Germany. Production ceased in 1991 of this fabulous model) The cosmetic condition is superb with little or no user marks indicative of very careful handling since manufacture. The optical condition is perfect. Giving a wonderful image. They have the later T3M fully multicoated optics, which do give extreme brightness, high contrast and colour accuracy for which Carl Zeiss are renowned for. Wow what a fabulous heavy duty hard to find pair of binoculars. The frames are brass it is crystal clear. I would guess these to be early 1920's era. They just don't make them like this anymore. This and the many other camera lots. And lenses we are listing? come from a local camera store in Buffalo, NY. The owner has retired after 50 years of running the store and now days the big guys are just too much competition along with the internet. Most of the items we are selling for him are new(many were on display there and most have boxes- not all) and there is some used stuff that he had there that is being sold as well. Bonjour je vous propose cet ONTOSCOPE CORNU tel que recupéré. Je ne m'y connais pas du tout et je vais essayer d'etre le plus precis possible. L'ontoscope est en tres bel etat. Avec quelques petites salissures dans les recoins. Il est marqué CORNU et ONTOSCOPE PARIS DESSUS. On peut lire sur les lentilles LENTILLE CARL ZEISS JENA Nr 809887 Tessar 1:45 F=8.5 cm. Il est muni de son dos ainsi qu'un autre de rechange presentant des petites rayures au bout. Je ne sais pas comment fonctionne l'appareil, je constate juste que la petite tirette en dessous est bloquée à moins que celà soit normal. Il est muni d'une sangle en tres bel etat d'usage. A celà s'ajoute 2 caches optiques dans un etat juste defraichi mais complet. Il y a dans un etui deux lentilles marquées 0.50 chacune, ... moreil y a aussi un autre etui avec plusieurs fitres couleurs et un cordon enclencheur restauré au sparadrap et qui ne revient pas correctement. Les deux boites auraient besoin d'une petite remise en couleur mais tres complet, juste salies en surface. La boite de transport est sans clef, decousue dans deux angles du couvercle et sur une separation interieure. L'interieur est en etat d'usage, mais avec un fond necessitant un gros nettoyage. L'exterieur de la boite presente des marques et rayures d'usages ainsi que des salissures et sa poignée sur laquelle est marquée ontoscope est dechiree. J'ai essayé surtout d'etre le plus precis sur les photos mais n'hesitez pas pour des questions plus pointues auxquelles je tenterai de repondre. De part ce que j'ai pu en savoir je le daterai des années 20/30 mais sans certitude. L'ensemble complet pese 3.452 kg. Les photos sont plus representatives de l'ensemble. It is in good external cosmetic condition and shows only minor use and wear for its age. There is a small dent on the focus ring next to the Infinity mark. The mount is tight and the focus is smooth. The aperture ring is frozen. The external glass is clean, but there is internal dust, grime and possible fungus. I can't really tell if the small spots I am seeing are dust spots or fungus spots. This from a very nice viewer on eBay who knows this set: These are screw-thread gauges. There is one pair for each pitch of thread. They are placed on the measuring anvils of a standard micrometer. The screw to be measured then rests with the thread form straddling the wires. The measurement then is taken independently of the height of the screw thread crown and a very accurate diametrical pitch is obtained by referencing tables that would have come with the wire sets. Usually the wires are paired so two rest on one side of the thread. And a single wire on the other side. This is a working example of an early(I think) production Praktica camera. It is in amazing cosmetic condition. I won't call it mint but it is very clean. Please see photos. Also. Everything seems to be working just fine.The shutter sounds good as do the speeds. The mirror action is smooth and it returns properly after winding. Winding itself is smooth for such an old and, obviously, inexpensive camera. These east German Prakticas were always just basic cameras with few frills and zero cutting edge technology. But.they worked. The chrome is nice and all the leatherette is present. Mirror is clean and both shutter curtains look good. Have not shot with film so, therefore, being sold AS IS. Full frame, manual focus, prime lens that can be fitted to most DSLRs and inter-changeable lens digital cameras with an PB adapter. I have sold examples of this lens with sequential serial numbers badged both Pentacon and Carl Zeiss Jena(a brand name owned by Pentacon) It is not a Sonnar lens(which was limited to a maximum aperture of f3.5) as other sellers claim. But an updated version of the Meyer-Optik Orestor with improved lens coating and finish. It is an excellent lens. To use this lens on a digital camera a Praktica bayonet PB adapter is required but not supplied. Adapters for most cameras.
