One second is not working. There is no retard, so it looks to be about 1/50. 1/2 second is closer to one second on up. The speed ring appears to be out of time, as it stops before the T setting, half way between T& B. The B setting works ... morebetween B and 1 second. The glass is clean and scratch free, but with some very minor internal dust. I see no fungus or mold. The shutter speed and aperture controls are a bit stiff, but I see no oil on either set of blades. I have no retaining ring. The rear mount is 40mm. Here for your consideration WW1 German Carl Zeiss Jena Binoculars- WW2 War Prize Obtained from the estate of a WW2 Vet who served in Europe- this set of binoculars was a war prize sent home during the war- What is great about these binoculars is that they are actually from WW1! Not too many relics of the great war floating around these days- but on information and belief based upon my research these binoculars- made by Carl Zeiss Jena- are WW1 issue. The markings are slightly faded but they read as follows- One side has Carl Zeiss over JENA- the Other Side has Dienstglas D.F. 6x24 VI 18 and a serial number of 682923. I am no expert but the optics on the binoculars seem clear- no signs of fungus or the like- however. Due to age the moving parts are hard to move. Really Great Find! Antique Zeiss Ikon CONTAX Camera with Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar Lens 1:2 f = 5 cm
This used camera has not been tested with film and is being sold for parts or restore. The shutter was tested and the door comes back down slow plus it appears to be a little crooked. It's missing three screws that hold the lens bracket. One screw is missing from the winding knob and the other two do not tighten, and it's missing a screw from the slide bracket on top. All of the leather is intact with some lifting above the winding knob. It has some loss of paint with general wear and some scratches. The lens appears to be clear with no scratches and there's a light dent to the grip area.

I guess you can tell by my description that I have no idea what this scope/lens/attachment is. It appears to be quite old based on the worn patina. It is approx 11 5/8" long + weighs approx. 1.7 pounds. A brass lens(approx 1 5/8" attaches+ unscrews at one end. The other end also has a lens + a hook/clip + a small adjustment screw(starts at 0 + goes up to 10) There is a name: CARL ZEISS JENA Nr 4205 Inscised into this end. The black portion above the lens has a spot for screwing on something + it is slightly pushed in so that screwing into this area would be difficult. Approx 4" down the shaft you can turn the scope. RARE Carls Zeiss Jena DF 7x40 East Germany Army Nationale Volksarmee Binoculars
For sale is a used binoculars Zeiss Jena DF 7x40. AKA Checkpoint Charlie binoculars. It is featuring an extremely sturdy and heavy body, a reticle at right tube which can be illuminated by a battery powered device(is not included) and a detector for active infra-red sources, which is charged by the UV contribution of the daylight. Manufactured in East Germany in the late 1960s and 1970s. Its a Cold War relic in good condition. The binocular was used by the East- German-Army(NVA) Nationale Volksarmee, during the 60's. Rated one of the best army binoculars ever made. The Optics are still Clear& All works great. Ready for use, whatever you want(hunting, watching, combating) or of course collecting! The 7x40 DF(Doppel-Fernrohr) of the NVA(Nationale Volksarmee) was introduced in the 1960s and was the first binocular built by Carl Zeiss Jena from scratch since the days of WWII. It replaced the 7x50 Binoctar, 10x50 Dekaris and 8x30 Deltrentis, individual focus versions of Jena's earlier classical line of binoculars. The 7x40 DF was given a short(stubby' body shape, thereby keeping it rather compact, despite of its large prisms and considerably high weight. With its thick rubber armor, its large oculars with long eye-relief(suitable for use with gas-mask) and the eye catching window of its infrared detector re-charger, the DF had become the classical example of a full fledged military binocular, the blueprint of later 7x40 clones which adopted the same design philosophy. Up for auction is a vintage pair of 1940s-1950s Carl Zeiss Jena binocular eyeglasses. These glasses are in excellent original vintage condition. As far as I know. There is nothing wrong with the glasses. The frames were made handmade in France by Sol Amor, and are gold filled. The frames are numbered No 47, Im not sure what that means, possibly the serial number for the number of Carl Zeiss collaborations with Sol Amor. The frames are size 48-20, with 140mm temples. Strong and clean gold filled 5 barrel hinges. The lens are marked made in Germany, and from my research aus Jena was made in West Germany. The power of the binoculars works best from about 10-20 feet away, so I'm not really sure what they would have been used for, possibly bird watching( The glasses come with their original Carl Zeiss leather lens cleaner. Carl Zeiss Jena Microscope approx. 1915. This is an old microscope and can be dated approx 1915. It is in a good condition and it just needs to be cleaned up! The model number reads; Nr 74924. It has a lot of parts as you can see on the photo’s and all the parts are in a good condition. The wood box is in a very nice good condition and shows normal wear for it's age(approx. 1915) The original key is still working. In the box there is a paper that the microscope has been checked on 2-6-1920. The box has two wooden slide out trays that hold the spare lenses. This is really a nice. As far I can judg, complete set. With a little cleaning it would make a beautiful piece for your collection.
