Although only marked"Made in France" I'm pretty ... morecertain that this compass was manufactured by Testrite. Testrite compasses were made in both Germany and France but this particular one is marked"Made in France" on the dial. It was most likely manufactured in the 1930's or 1940's. The dial is silver plated metal unlike many which have a paper dial. The case is brass and measures 1-7/8" 47mm) in diameter x 3/8" 10mm) thick. It has a heavy, beveled edge, glass crystal. There is a ring loop(bail or bow) attached to the case at the South(S" marker on the dial. Fully functional and accurate with no liquid inside. It has a transit lock damper controlled by a lever on the side to prevent movement of the needle when you have fixed the position of the compass or when you are carrying it. The silver metal dial has indications/markers for the Cardinal and Half-Cardinal points. The needle is tinted dark blue for the North indication. The compass is in very nice condition. The bail or bow is secure. The crystal isn't chipped, cracked, flaked, or chiggered, the case is free of dents and dings, and the needle is sensitive and accurate. Vintage Cloth Belgian Flag -- Belgium WWI WWII
A vintage Belgian flag made from either cotton or linen- NOT polyester or nylon. There is nothing to date the exact age of this flag. But from its appearance it could easily be of WWI or WWII vintage. Approximately 44"X33" it has some very minor soiling and a few small pinholes in various spots(see photo) The remnants of cloth ties are sewed on one side, but they have been cut off very close to edge. U S Flag WWII Era 48 Stars Sewn Old Vintage Cotton
We found this old 48 star flag at an estate sale. It is 46” x 66” and is made of what feels like a heavy cotton material. It is machine sewn. There are 2 small holes in the blue fabric and some staining but other than that. The fabric is in very good condition as is the stitching and grommets. The corners are reinforced. It has yellowed with age. I was tempted to wash the flag to see if I could get the staining out but decided to leave it in‘as found’ condition and let the buyer make that decision. There is some writing on the binding. I can’t make out most of it other than the initials LM. It also looks like the brand was stamped on but that is worn off to where it cannot be read. Item Description: This auction is for 2 pilot wings. I am told these are what they call Senior Pilot's wings. The first one measures 77mm wide. It is marked Gemsco Sterling. The second one measures 51mm wide. It is marked Sterling. They both show some minor tarnish. These belonged to a Mr. Theodore Francis Dieck. He was in the US Army Air ... moreCorps/ Air Force from 1941 to 1966. He was a navigator on a B29 bomber. He went into pilot school but mother& father separated so he dropped out of flight school and took six weeks off. Shortly after returning got back into flight school where he did get his pilot's wings. He retired a Lt Col with the tactical air command. There is a story that at age 23. He was on a mission taking weather photos at the same time the bomb was dropped at Hiroshima and he actually had pictures of the bomb's mushroom cloud. The next day military personnel came and confiscated all of his photos and equipment and he never saw them again. This was told to me by his son and daughter which I purchased these items from. I cannot verify this story but wanted to relay it as it was told to me as a part of his legacy. I also have other items from him up for sale in my other auctions. Description No markings that I can find. Bears a label of previous owner- Leo Russell. In good condition for age. The leather is still soft and supple. Some wear to the fur in places. I think there may be a small buckle missing from centre back. There is a section of stitching the has just started to come undone by left temple area. Some light surface cracking to the chin strap buckle. I also have a vintage flying gauntlets which came with this helmet. I will be listing these separately. Vintage Japanese Wakizashi Short-Swrord, WWII US Veteran Bring-Back, NR
Vintage Japanese wakizashi short-sword that was brought back after WWII by a US veteran as per pictures. The blade is not signed and is dark and has some light pits in spots but smooth metal and you can still see the temper-line(it is an irregular wavy type) if you hold the blade at an angle. The scabbard is covered in old masking-tape. The handle is complete and wrapping is good. Both menuki's are present, the fuchi and kashera are matching plain copper. Tsuba is plain smooth iron type and is signed. Condition: used with condition as stated, blade dark with some areas of light pits, scabbard is rough and covered in old masking-tape, handle is very good and complete, tsuba is good and signed as per pictures. Under Secretary United States Navy Parade Flag. Appears to be made of a heavy linen. Very large. Measures approximately 6ft 10" x 4ft 9" Red background with four white stars and anchor sewn on either side. The anchor has black accent stitching. The flag is stamped on the side with the ringlets"UNDER SEC NAVY PARADE MI 45. I believe that the flag is circa 1945. I was given this flag by an elderly neighbor many years ago who said that it was used in a parade for the liberation of the Philippines at the end of World War II however I have no documentation to support this claim. The flag is in very good condition considering its age. There are a few small holes and some discoloration from age on the white portions.

Markings include: US Navy BuShips. 11421-42 This was made by GE and has the GE logo on the back. This works well. They were built to last! This style barometer was generally located on the Quarterdeck of Navy Ships during that era. The lens is in surprisingly nice shape for that period item. VINTAGE WWII ERA 1939 K98 BAYONET AND SCABBARD CLEMEN & JUNG
You are bidding on a Vintage WWII K98 Bayonet and Scabbard. The bayonet was made by Clemen& Jung. The spine is marked 39 so I assume that's when it was made. Marked Clemen& Jung on one side and 8339 b on the other. Stamped on the end of the handle are 2 WaA 253 marks. Not sure what those stand for. The blade has a couple of small nicks and has been sharpened. I could not find any markings on the scabbard. It has a few dents and the paint has chipped. Vintage WWII Plane Spotter Flash Cards from the Plane Facts Co. New York. N.Y. Cards and box are in excellent condition. The only damage that I saw is to a corner of the Spotter's Instructions card and a number 50 marked in one corner of the box both of which you can see in the pictures. This set has photographs of U.S. Army. Navy, British, German, and Japanese Combat Planes. Each of the spotter cards has a photograph of the plane on one side of the card with the silhouettes of the plane at various angles on the other. I counted 56 cards in all. Up for grabs is a true piece of vintage americana that I can't believe I have the pleasure of listing. and trying on. It's a good condition. Vintage Post World War 2 WWII US NAVY Flight Brown Leather Men's Jacket Coat. This is the extremely hard to find in WEARABLE condition. That's right, if you want to show this piece off, you don't even have to have it behind glass. You can flex your muscles while wearing this jacket in front of your friends. Made in USA. Size is about a 38 or medium but please look at dimensions below for perfect fit. Shearling lined. I posted a similar jacket that has a lot of same information available on the website of Worthpoint. T wo front cargo flapped down pockets. Heavy wind flap behind the zipper to minimize heat lost. The diamond shape elbow patches, to protect from abrasion in small cockpit ... morewith metal all over. The sleeves have 100% wool knit rib cuffs inside to block cold and wind completely. The sheepskin is natural fur color inside and seal brown oily finish outside for easy wipe cleaning. You won't be disappointed. Talon brass working zipper as you can see in the pictures. All buttons intact. Leather is pliable. I have found that no repairs have been done to this jacket which makes it all original. Approximate Outside Dimensions: 17 inches across back shoulder to shoulder by 25 inches tall from below collar to bottom of jacket by 22.5 inches across chest armpit to armpit by 25.5 inches long arms from top shoulder seam to bottom of cuff. It looks like it was made in memorandum for a soldier who was in the navy. He must have died during war. The center shows an anchor with a cross with a bible that says"forever" on it. The initials"LH" are off to the side. The fabrics are velours. Satins, damask patterns, acid etched, along with some other kinds. I don't think that there are any cottons included in the top. I believe the backing is made of cotton feed sacks. One square says"American cotton" on its back. This quilt top is in excellent condition for its age. I see no holes, stains or worn spots. Please keep in mind that this is an unfinished top. There is no batting ... moreor finished edges on it. It is hanging on my clothes line horizontally. I think the correct way to show this would be for it to hang vertically. My home is smoke and pet free. Check out my other auctions for more vintage items such as hankies and a poodle hanky holder.
