We acquired this item with an estate lot. And we don’t know what this stuff was used for. The set isn’t complete, as there is one of the tubes missing. The tube that is there makes a 45 degree turn and has adjustments and lenses and mirrors or prisms it. The eyepieces were meant to fit into it and its missing mate, and are the 30mm diameter. There is a cap for one end of the tube and a screw cap that we don’t know what it fits. This may not be complete, but the eyepieces are worth a lot more than our starting price even if you have no use for the wood case and adapter tube. The case does have some ding and a chip out of one corner but is solid and works perfectly. There was some great foam in the case that have dried up and turned to a green powder, The powder is on the optic, and is loose and blows off with canned air, but the lenses will ... moreneed a good cleaning and we are not set up with lens paper and solution to clean them.
