The 100x is an oil immersion lens. The objectives are free of defects. The 10x widefield oculars have intact coatings and show no evidence of delamination. The phase contrast condenser is in beautiful condition with an adjustable iris, anuli#s 1, 2, 3, 4, and a darkfield stop(which is a lot of fun especially when viewing small water-borne organisms. The stage works perfectly in regards to X/Y travel. Both coarse and fine focus adjustments on the microscope frame are in working order. There is one point of minor damage, the the stage travel marker is missing. This is in no way related to the stage's mechanical function, is rather a cosmetic annoyance. Overall, the microscope is in above average condition for this model.

Kowar Microscope Set Made in Japan of sturdy steel and glass. Vintage. Date ca. 1960 There are 3 sets of prepared slides. 30 in all. One set has a variety of insects: bumble bee. butterfly wing. shrimp leg[ photo] and feathers of birds. The 2nd set seem to be all legs 1st segment of fly. Middle leg of fly, mosquito etc The 3rd set was made by a prior owner. silk filament. Wool, ashes remain. There are ~ 20 unused glass plates. And clean glass covers. The set contains only what appears in the photos. I took some pics down the eyepiece. The 50x images are OK but like all sets of this type. The 200x + images are disappointing. Cannot find focus[ see white disk photo above] etc. There are 5 sizes of iris on an adjustable wheel. pic 5] The images above were made by shining a[ not included] LED light thru the mirror. This is a cute little field microscope. It was marked Reevesline 100 and was made in Japan. I don't know the age but would guess maybe the 60s. Reminds me of one I had as a kid. It's in good condition with the original documentation. The only thing missing are the extra slides. There are two in the case. The microscope itself stands about 4 inches tall.

Vintage Embassy Student Microscope With Extras! Made In Japan 100x-750x
This microscope is in good used condition! It comes with a ton of extras that include 60 prepared slides. Lens paper for cleaning purposes, slide glasses, beetle honey bee and spongi specimens, cover glass, mounting fluid, two small sharp tools, a test tube holder and empty bottles of dyeing fluid and sea plankton. All 60 prepared slides are either bee, butterfly, and insect parts, blood structure, tiny creatures, sea life, or bacteria. The slides are all in great condition and come in the original box. This microscope can either be illuminated by a light or by a mirror. The two eyepieces that it comes with magnify 10x or 15x. This quite a unique find! Smoke free home.

The bottom of box is stamped Made in Japan as well as on the bottom of microscope. I have no knowledge of how this equipment is used. But it looks complete and in very nice condition.
